Hi all,

Need a recommendation here. I am currently using a Note 2 and planned to change to Note 7 this year; but when I was about to purchase it, the news of the unfortunate accidents with the phone came out (in a way, I was lucky to avoid the hassle) but it spoiled my plans.

1) Brand: No preference, though I might be a bit biased to Samsung, HTC, Huawei or Google
2) Budget: RM 2500 up to RM 3500 max
3) Specs: Good battery life, screen ~ 5' or above, no lagging when using multiple apps, nice camera
4) Usage: Mostly to go online (WhatsApp, Facebook, Maps/Waze), some note takings, some pic taking, rarely play games though

Currently I am considering these phones:
- Google Pixel / Pixel XL (a bit pricey though)
- Huawei Nexus 6P
- Samsung Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge
- Samsung Galaxy Note 5

I am attracted to Pixel but it's a bit on the pricey side for a not so premium phone. I have been a Note user for so long, but Note 5 is a bit outdated and might not get updates to the latest Android. Or should I wait for Note 8 - but the release date will be around Q3 next year, right? That's still far away.

Please give me some recommendations. Thank you very much!

Hi everyone, I used a combo of Nokia 1280, iPod Touch 6G and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 but now my iPod died, so my parents decided to buy me a phone for the long term. I consider myself a power user (I can root, change ROM, use ADB, do simple repairs, etc). Here's my info:

Brand: Any, as long as it is reputable
Budget: RM1500
Specs: RAM >2GB, Excellent camera and processor (Either quad or octa core), screen =>5", good battery life
Usage: Social media, photo/videography, music, probably gaming

My friend recommended the Asus Zenfone 3 to me. What do you sifus think? I'll be buying in the next month probably

Thanks!

Current phone Oneplus X, currently thinking of upgradingg to phone with similar price range which is around rm1k.
Is Nexus 5X still a viable option now? Minimum requirements: 32gb, better than Opx camera, FHD display, Fingerprint. I'll not be playing games with the phone.

Hi All,

I would like to ask regarding the 4G and 4G plus compatible phone.

1)How to check whether it is 4G plus compatible? Is it just simply check spec on LTE (4G) and LTE-A is 4G plus?
2)Does 4G plus really have significant difference in speed compare to 4G?

Thanks

Hi,
I'm in the market for a new smartphone. The one I'm currently using is working but really laggy and I can't install more than 2 apps on it at one time and it loses battery really fast.

Specs:
1. back fingerprint sensor. As its more convenient for me to use my phone with one hand most of d time..
*I'm impressed with honor 6x's ability to take photos using d rear fingerprint sensor - izzit a feature exclusive to huawei phones or am i able to look for brands beyond huawei?

2. Expandable storage or at least 64gb

Budget:
1. my budget wud be below 1.5k~

Usage:
1. I would be using my phone mostly to take photos (mostly indoors), surf the internet, watch videos.

2. Most important to me would be the gps navigation.

Brand:
1. Am not so picky with brands.

Additional requirements:
1. It would be much appreciated too if I am able to futureproof my phone too. (plan to keep my phone working for at least 3 years..hehehe)

Please help recommend. Arigatou notworthy.gif

OnePlus 3 (non turbo) 64GB is your best bet. But too bad is not 5 inch.

It is still very good phone for OnePlus X. But Nexus 5X is not really a huge upgrade for OnePlus X. Somemore. Probably gonna wait for Motorola or OnePlus mid year new phone announcement.

4g plus are good for VoLTE.
Check the spec and Telco.

Honor 8
(but you need to check it out whether really is dual LTE stand-by as I recalled Honor 7 can, so I assume the successor (Honor8) can do the same things as well.)
