Have any1 tried playing Warcraft DOTA on an iMAC machine?

Is it fast enuf?Reliable?

I will try to play against my windows based gaming friends via LAN after I get the iMAC.

Is there any conflict problem?

Thanx.

I don't think Blizzard will bother to release a Universal Binary patch for Warcraft 3. All their attention now is at World of Warcraft.

Got mac version la sweat.gif Just that for intelmac, it will be buggy and slow cos' it design for PPC mac only. The best way is running under bootcamp. For crossover, i had use it before, kinda buggy as well since crossover still under beta doh.gif

btw, hamachi for mac don't have chat feature hmm.gif

What he means is there is no SEPARATE edition for mac. You can use the same installation disc (original, not pirated) to install on both platforms.

In other words, still we use PC for ultimate gaming. Is MAC really that bad in world of gaming?

OSX is using OpenGL . Thats not the problem , Warcraft III runs pretty good on my mac mini . no problem , but hten it lags when i run it on top of my hac.Its mainly because of the emulation , even such an old game , it lags. so pretty much you're better off running warcraft III on windows then on an intel mac / but if you're talking about ppc imacs its fine

i have dota'ed on my mac mini ...i have no what-so-ever problems

my bad biggrin.gif Well, i think the main issue is the UB for intelmac. It's just like CS2 which is still under PPC.

Like said b4, WC3 is available for G4/G5 Macs. If u got the Intel Mac, then bootcamp n install WC3 lor. I don't understand what's the problem here. Or is it because WC3 is quite rare for OS X?
