Hey guys. I have a 1k version vita and the screen flickers whenever i play games. Is it the led problem or other hardware issue that might cause the problem. I went to sony centre and asked about it the guy said might due to led screen problem. Need to pay rm 40+ for the check. Rough estimate for the led replacement is arlund rm 400++. Any comments are appreciated

There are a few things that could cause the issue, the cheapest would be just the connection between the motherboard and monitor is having issue. Maybe it is loose or dusty.

Hi. Thanks for the information. I am still thinking whether to send it to sony centre to fix it once and for all.

If it is a 1k version, I believe there is no more warranty, meaning that you could try and open it yourself and check. Maybe this site could you with it :

Hey, that is very useful website. But unfortunately there is no guide for LED display replacement. The tear down part does not really talk about the connector to the LED screen.

Yea, there is no more warranty, I opened the vita myself once to clean the power button since it was not functioning properly last time. But I forgot to remove my memory card that time, so when I press the back cover together, I heard a crack sound, and my 32 gb memory card chipped, and that's it, all my save games gone.....
