Hi Guys,

Just wondering whether you guys are facing the same issue or not.

I have this issue whenever I perform high reps for shoulder related exercises such as standing overhead press and seated shoulder press.

Any reps more than 8 and my left shoulder will start to feel numb and not the good kind. Its the kind of numb feeling where I feel like my left shoulder as well as my left trap is about to fall off.... Funny thing, i dont have the same feeling on my right shoulder.

Im not sure whether is due to fatigue or the is something wrong with my left shoulder. Initially, i thought by warming up my rotator cuffs might help. It did for a while but after that, the issue came back. cry.gif

Because of this im laying off the free weights for a while and using machine to perform my shoulder excises. But same thing, anything reps higher than 8, the problem will come back. Because of this im sticking to low reps on the machine....

Have you guys experienced this before? if yes, any recovery exercises you recommend?

Sharp pain? Do you train your rotator cuff? Face pull etc?

If its sharp pain, better let doctor have a look.

Proper workout should only feel sore-ness, not to the extent of numb.

Not painful. More like numb feeling exceeding 8-10reps.

Not really sharp pain. More like a numb feeling say when u rest at a certain position on your hand for too long. I get the same feeling going higher than 8reps
