ESP M-II Standard Maple BLK

MOAR PORN HERE: https://imgur.com/a/LuQ9N
- Bolt-On Construction
- 25.5” Scale
- Alder Body
- Maple Neck
- Maple Fingerboard
- 42mm Nut
- Thin U Neck Contour
- 24 XJ Frets
- Black Hardware
- Gotoh Tuners
- Original Floyd Rose Bridge
- EMG 81 (B) & EMG 81 (N) pickups
- Finish: Gloss Black
EXCELLENT CONDITION - 9.2/10 - played & broken in but generally remains very clean with no structural damage (knicks/chips/dings/dents) of any kind & only minor signs of regular use with light cosmetic wear - functionally flawless with no issues
- Visible general swirling/picking marks throughout the body from regular usage & handling (the curse of the gloss black finish!)
- A very minor hairline scratch on the face/top at the bottom edge of the bridge pickup route in the area between the bridge & knob - & a less visible one behind the bridge towards the bout
- Pickup ring & backplate screws show some light wear - there is some tarnishing on the top of the volume knob - some minor oxidation is visible on the rear of the locking screws but the bridge remains extremely clean overall
- Frets are still super fresh with only the slightest hints of minor wear in a few select areas (mostly confined to frets 1-4 & the G string) with approx. 98% remaining - functionality, playability & tone remains flawless with no abnormal buzzing or hinderance to performance in any way, shape or form
- Otherwise no significant damage to note & in exceptional overall condition considering it will be having its 10th birthday this year!
If you’ve never laid your hands on one of these - it is definitely a revelation & a genuine delight for any kind of technical playing style. Having starred on some of the greatest guitar albums of the modern era & been the primary weapon of choice for numerous elite level shredders including the likes of Michael Romeo, Josh Middleton, Kris Norris, Ben Tovey & many more - this thing really is the epitome of shred efficiency at its absolute finest. & thanks to the prime-grade materials & immaculate construction - it really does sing & scream with the best of them.
It's not going to make you a better player (no guitar is capable of doing that unfortunately!) - but this is an axe that just makes everything seem that much more effortless - which allows you the freedom to focus on & immerse yourself in the actual playing & creative aspect entirely.
No distractions, no hindrances, no caveats - just a pure-bred workhorse built for precision, speed, aggression, impact, tone & reliability alike. For myself at least, this is the golden standard by which all other high-end shredders are judged & must contend with - & only a very select few are capable of truly coming out on top in the sheer shredability department.
This is the video that immortalised the M-II forever in my mind - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKQYQ9sNWiE - they recorded the vast majority of COAA leads with it (used to be a seriously awesome vid of tracking solos in the studio that has disappeared from YT sadly...)
