Just bought a titanium gold S7 edge to home. Changed from S4 due to can't withstand the lagging anymore after 3 years usage...hopefully this S7 won't become another.lagging phone after a year usage. Overall the phone is impressive in every aspect. Anyway, i never install any screen protector and casing, this is what i did the same to the S4, until now never have single hairline scratch on S4, so i dun think will happen on S7 since it use more toughen screen and body.

Been using 64GB samsung pro since S4, i would say the card itself is fast enuf for anything, i tested with USB3.0 reader on my PC, can easily reach 90MB for both read and write, use it on phone only get less than 50% performance, clearly is phone itself rather than card itself.

Just noticed the always on display will turn off when the phone is inside the pocket or the screen face down, which i think is a quite handy implementation.

Opps..anyway, the night mode AOD won't turn off even inside pocket, perhaps just disable night mode AOD.

The whatapps really kill the battery quietly...even the screen is much more power saving to that.

does any one of you notice that Samsung phone tends to stuck in the lower speed network. My S4 last time like that, now S7 also same, means that area for sure have 3G (H+) or 4G network, but sometimes the phone will stuck in E no matter how many times I toggle it on/off, I have to go into option to force it to '3G only', but by doing this I will loss 4G if my phone is in coverage zone. The only available options are 'LTE/3G/2G (Automatic)', '3G/2G (Automatic)', '3G only', '2G only'. Please help.

I also jump ship from S4 to S7 due to lagness. However I jump into the same pirate ship. S4 during out of box also feel buttery smooth, only now become lag, so almost confirm lagness follow aging. Perhaps change to S7 is a wrong move as well, after a year it will become lag again. But hopefully I'm wrong. Or else perhaps this is my last Android phone.

I don't know, the lag in S4 is slow launching speed of apps, call log, call pad, sms, gallery...whatever you launch it will blank for 2-3 seconds before give the outcome...is really angry when sometimes you just want to make a simple call will need to deal with lagness. FYI, that phone got 2GB RAM, fresh installation of 5.0.1 lollipop OS, free RAM never drop below 500MB, but it seems need to wait forever to launch an apps. I bought this new phone is becos even my wife newly bought Galaxy A5 is much faster than my S4...WTF. Will see how this S7 behave over time.

Great to hear that. Rooting won't help much on lagness unless you change ROM. I rooted my S4 after a year usage, tried a lots of custom ROM, yes, a lot smoother and faster than stock ROM, however have to compromise some lost functionality or bug such as the no after market camera apps is better than stock camera apps. After that tired with the custom ROM and went back to the stock ROM, just have to deal with the lagness.

I using the same Samsung Pro 64GB SD card in S4 and S7, after snap shot click into gallery, S4 will need forever to load the picture, but S7 is show instantly. So really dun know what's wrong with my S4. Actually want to reset/reflash ROM rather than buy new phone, but think have to backup and reinstall everything might as well get a new phone, surprisingly the S7 can transfer old data from my S4, hassle free. Yes, now my S7 basically loaded with all SMS, call log, picture and apps transferred from S4 but still buttery smooth, so let see how it goes.

'Sadly' this place just a lengthy discussion on SP anywhere anyday anytime with very less technical discussion.

Come on guys, this phone outlook design is so nice and sexy, they heard what you want, using metal + glass design, but you guys not bother to put plastic rubbery after market SP, cover to wrap the sexy body within the shelf, really don't know what's wrong with you guys.

I know the SP is not expensive, but not cheap as well. You might say better safe than sorry, but did the SP/cover you bought have provide you any certification/report/statement in technical terms that it will provide protection to your phone when drop? What's the height before the SP fail to protect, what is the strength it provided (in newton, m, kg) does it provide the technical data? NO, NO, NO, just fancy wording on the packaging.

I never saw a possibility that gorilla glass 4 cannot withstand scratch, unless you purposely use diamond to scratch it.

That's why I say, change your way to use the phone, I notice a lot of ppl like to put the key/coin together with the phone. But again, I don't see the items I mentioned can scratch the screen if put together.

The default photo apps won't show photo embedded exif info in properties.

When i want to snapshot, supposing the auto focus is blazingly fast and lock down in a glance, however due to my palm holding the edge, the cam can't be control, i thought it kong adi...WTF

Wonder how many more iterations before they will drop the edge design.

I wonder Samsung will release firmware update to prevent user from 'misuse' the loophole.

anyone of you notice the bug of the network down/upload arrow, during downloading if the phone screen time out and resume back, the down/upload arrow just won't animate anymore to indicate the down/upload activity.
