Is the cover over the heart rate sensor and flash made of PLASTIC?

It looks like mine is scratched sad.gif

Unfortunately, yes. Can be said this is the most easily scratch part of the phone.

Those are not double sided tape.

Those adhesive need special material to cure for instance UV light etc. And how are they going to test the water proof?

Repair is easily. Testing and debug is the hard part.

Samsung dont test them as well. Probably 1 or 10 in a million get pulled and tested randomly.

Nope. Before shipment.

Product testing is 100%

Each and every part is 100% test.

And, no. It is not as time consuming as you thought.

And yes. The production line is running 24/7.

If compare about fluidity and smoothness, i think both are equal.. but if you do speedtest, open lots of apps and switching between them, the nexus 6p is still a bit faster than the s7 edge.

Agreed. That's why I used word smoothness. Multitasking wise n6p still edge out the s7e

Agreed with this one. Just used my phone from last Thursday till today, I thought I have been taking really good care of this phone, but still there are hairline scratches on the flash and heart rate sensor cover dy.

btw, is the edge part supposed to light up with info when picking the phone up from stationary ?

i often see the edge part lit up with network information(ie coverage), but that was only when i pick the phone up to do something, it does not work when i intentionally put it down and pick it up just to look at it laugh.gif

I m now using a cheap Goosperry flipcase to protect my phone when I am out
It is cheap ( only RM 28 from lelong)
The phone edges are well protected and access to the edge is unhindered
It adds a very slight bulk to the phone but I love it as the original phone itself is too compact for me. I feel great using it with the phone
And I don't believe in using any form of SP on my phones
I am still waiting for my Spigen Rugged Armor backcase from Ebay. I will use this only at home

I think thats cause when you pick up you swiped the edge. Try to swiped the edge up and down when you put it down, the edge part should show the notification.

The best protection for s7 edge against drops would be to use those bulky flip cases as in your photo but with a buckle or clasp for the flip to prevent it from opening by itself when dropped.

Due to s7 edge's extreme fragility, I'm not sure if the Spigen Rugged Armor or Otterbox back covers can actually protect it from drop damage.

I really do miss those day when I had the Note Edge. The Edge panel truly does light up and show notifications by itself. No need any genie swipe to bring it up. laugh.gif
