Have you tried the smart switch? Im not fammiliar with Mate 8 but you can try it. Use the charging cable and the OTG provided in s7e box. Connect the 2 phone. IIRCthe OTG should be at s7e side. If not then just switch. The app will run itself just follow on screen. AFAIK i just used to transfer apps contacts and some other stuff. Unsync bookmarks wouldnt be able to transfer this way.

Also i think inthe last thread soeone said dont reset the firmware or something just yet. It hasnt been updated. The last guy did that ended up at the service center. Try search thread for "samsung switch" or was it "smart switch".

Anyways guys, I was a Note2 user before this s7e. In Note2 for Mobile Hotspot, theres an option to use the internet sharing via USB. Cant seem to find in S7e. Any tips? Why I am asking this is because my desktop doesnt have WiFi/Bluetooth. I tried googling but not sure of the term to google. All i found was connecting via WiFi or WiFi setups sharing etc. Nothing about USB connection sharing.

Ok thanks guys for the tethering. I guess im so used to use the dropped down settings from there. Click the icon and there was this check box for USB. Couldn't find it this way this time.

May i know what firmware is this? The phone? Need do flash? What what.

But if you werent a celcom user prior this , need wait few months before apply for phone plan. i think 3 months.
