Yea, it's RM30 for Machines' Membership. Unfortunately, I was told that there's no more iPhone SE Space Grey 64GB from Machines. In fact, I think only the 16GB specs is available for the iPhone SE.

Regardless of the price discount or not, the price of RM2199 is truly a best-bang-for-the-buck deal, considering what's in the hood of this iPhone SE.

Yep, the reason I bought this because hardware is the same with 6S and the body is from 5S. I hope they will make it bigger SE version. Really love to hold it.  laugh.gif
*
Even though it wasn't engineered to have the 3D Touch or the 2nd-Gen TouchID or the 5MP FaceTime camera, the iPhone SE still packs quite a deal of hardware tech within that that's actually the best way to describe it i.e. iPhone 6s in iPhone 5s! nod.gif

In fact, come to think of it, it's more like "iPhone 6s Plus in iPhone 5s" considering that the battery life on the iPhone SE is said to be better than that of the iPhone 6s and just slightly behind the iPhone 6s Plus! ohmy.gif ... Oh, and to top it off, the iPhone SE allows for single hand operation on the device, with ease, thanks to its size! rclxms.gif

p/s: I'd missed the opportunity to own an iPhone SE 64Gb Space Grey sad.gif I'm searching for alternative source for a brand new unit. Hopefully, I'll be able to get my hands on them, with the current price tag! smile.gif

Why miss opportunity? Now can get as low as 1.9k brand new.

Well, both Machines Outlets and Mac City Stores are out of stock for the iPhone SE Space Grey 64GB model for now. Both have mentioned, in passing remark that restock will take place subjective to the whole iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus fest but neither can confirm its validity. EpiCentre has advised me to get it straight from Apple Malaysia and the same suggestion was made by Aeon too. I'm keeping Apple Malaysia as an alternative as I prefer COD transaction smile.gif

I know that there are forumers within, with their sales thread on the mentioned model and some of it are brand new.
I've got nothing against them as I've bought some stuff from here too but considering the price amount this time, I prefer to keep my options of purchase revolving around authorized retailers. nod.gif

Even I will suggest you to buy direct from authorize dealer.

... hence, my "missed opportunity" on the desired specs/model of iPhone SE.
Apple Malaysia will be my last resort if all else failed.

p/s: I've never ordered through Apple Malaysia though. There's a 1st time for everything, I supposed. smile.gif

Have you place your order yet?
*
Nope, not with Apple Malaysia.
It seems Machines may have restocked on iPhone SE as Space Grey 64GB is available on their website, which was unavailable, previously. rclxm9.gif
I'm calling them now but their line is busy, for the past 45mins! bangwall.gif

QUOTE(sang_kenari @ Oct 13 2016, 11:31 AM)
last I check still got at gemfive but not space grey. I also just bought from them during cybersales. With discount voucher of RM250, I only paid RM1.8k++ for 64gb silver. my only complaint is the delivery was made by gdex which take one week to deliver it.
*
Hey, that's a good price and you managed to seal a deal for yourself! thumbsup.gif
I take it that you've ordered stuff from GemFive before, considering your comment on GDEX.
So, when will that shiny Silver iPhone SE of yours arriving? drool.gif

I've tested the iPhone 7 today, not the iPhone 7 Plus though, and I gotta say, the one thing that stood out the most, for me, was the new Home button! It felt odd at first but after playing with the phone for 7mins, I've gotten used to it and I think Apple is moving in the right direction with this. I did try using a fabric on the button and it sure looks like skin contact is a must, in order for it to work.

p/s: finally, it's ringing ... but no one is answering! dry.gif

I'm using it now and loving it. Well I bought it 2 weeks ago during mycybersales. Gemfive took 1 week to deliver it to gdex and gdex took another 1 week to deliver it to me. I just receives it on Monday.
*
Ah, I see a clearer picture now of what you mean by "... another week to deliver for GDEX..." but I supposed that's their usual delivery logistics? hmm.gif

QUOTE(sang_kenari @ Oct 13 2016, 10:26 PM)
Coming from 5.2 inch LG G2, I surprised myself that I adapted to this smaller screen very fast and really enjoy it.
*
That's good! smile.gif

I'm not surprised at all, that one, coming from the "larger screen smartphone user" category, can easily adapt to the 4" screen smartphone, regardless of its brand. There's just something about the comfort level of being able to use 1 hand ... CONVENIENTLY ... on our smartphone!

Of course, when Apple decided to join the market of larger screen smartphone, sacrifice has to be made and in this case, they traded off "convenience" (user experience) in favor of "size" (fashion trend).

I've tested the 4.7" iPhone 6s, and while the phone is good as it is: not able to reach to all areas of the screen, to access apps on the further corner, opposite of your thumb, like how you used to be able to do so, is just ... inconvenient, personally speaking. I can only imagine what's it like using the iPhone 6s Plus! I've got nothing against the latter as it packs quite the deal under its hood and that's what I want, for my next smartphone ... how I wish it comes in form of 4" screen ... Oh wait a minute, it's called iPhone SE! laugh.gif

p/s: I'd managed to reserve a unit for myself! rclxm9.gif Now, I gotta think about the cover ... any recommendation?

Been using SE for the past two month, 16gb space grey. And today i sold my 16gb set to my relative, rugi about 100+ hahaha. And i upgrade to 64gb silver, wanted the space grey one but no stoc, idk if i am stupid or not but i am comfortable with ip5SE size, no regret here. I dont really like the big sized iphone, well since the 64gb drop price, no harm to upgrade it. Since after i use the 16gb i felt like not enough for me at all. Game, photos, apps and others. Great phone indeed. Whats make me upgrade it is becoz i will use this as my long term phone.
*
Nah, I wouldn't use the word "stupid" because phone preferences is a subjective matter; and the best choice of phone will always be the one that you and you alone, are most comfortable with! In fact, personally, I think the phone itself is worth getting but the price drop made it even more worth it! thumbup.gif

I've already collected mine from Machines @ Sunway Pyramid, but I haven't unboxed it just yet, pending phone case selection. I saw this Power Support Air Jacket case and immediately, liked it a lot but it's only designed for the iPhone 6s/6s Plus model. Anyone has suggestion on something similar?

p/s: I can't wait to upgrade form my iPhone 5 to the iPhone SE! ... and oh yea, I managed to get the Space Grey 64GB! rclxm9.gif

Well you are right, in the end, its all up to ourselves to which phone that is comfortable with. Really in love with this phone, and yes especially the 64gb price dropped for about rm300.
Ahh envy you, managed to get the space grey. Wanted space grey as well because front screen black color is cool haha.

For now im stil using a cheap case, still finding a cool and nice case to replace with, i might try google the case u mentioned haha
*
You're right about the front part of Space Grey but Silver is pretty cool looking too. In fact, it was gonna be my choice if ever the staff were to tell me that the Space Grey model is sold out! I knew if I missed this round, I wouldn't have a 2nd chance at getting my hands on the 64GB specs ... This 2nd round of restock is my 2nd chance and I was all ready to settle with the Silver but good thing that the Space Grey was still available! smile.gif

This is the Power Support Air Jacket that I mentioned earlier on. It's thin and sleek; just what I want my iPhone SE to be encased in! nod.gif

Nice case to show the space grey haha! Man i wish i can get the 64gb space grey, i was late for about 10mins, the last guy got his hand on the space grey 10mins earlier than me, so i settle with silver, i lazy wana wait for restock for that color haha. Anyway, quite a nice case it is.
*
Indeed, it is and the 1st time I saw it, I kinda liked it! smile.gif
The staff in Machines, even open up the package, just to let me touch the product and I quite like the rubberized-plastic feel of it. It provides a good grip over the phone; and I was searching, high and low, for the compatible version of the same brand for the iPhone SE but there isn't any. sad.gif
Instead, the staff directed me to the Apple's iPhone SE Leather Case (Black) which is RM189! ohmy.gif

http://www.apple.com/my/shop/product/MMHH2...-black?fnode=99

Oh man ... 10mins apart ... but hey, the Silver is cool looking too; something for a change this time around, perhaps? nod.gif

Based on the looks of it, perhaps u can consider ringke fusion case as well, the camera cut out is better looking imo
*
Hey, thanks for the suggestion! smile.gif
I actually did check out their product line for the iPhone SE even before I got the phone, and the Ringke SLIM is the closest to the Power Support Air Jacket that I saw yesterday, with one major difference though, the former doesn't cover up the bottom part of the phone where the connectors are as well as the side, where the volume rocker and the mute button are, as much as the latter. dry.gif but still, hey, thanks for the suggestion! thumbsup.gif

Ahh RM189 man, its quite pricey, but yea try to get the case u want the most and ofcourse with protection lah thts most important one haha.

Yeah, silver is nice too, if its gold or rose gold then its a no no.
*
Indeed, it is expensive and yea, I'm considering alternatives now but that feeling ... after seeing what you like and realize that it's not available bangwall.gif laugh.gif

Oh yeah, tell me about it. I can't imagine myself using either of the other 2 colors as well. Nothing wrong with it; just not my taste. smile.gif

How was the battery life with iOS 10.1 on your SE guys?
*
Here my response in another thread on iOS 10.

QUOTE(domcobb @ Oct 9 2016, 10:57 AM)
Mine is an iPhone 5 running on iOS 10, and I gotta say, I'm loving every bit of changes introduced in it! There hasn't been a crash ever since the update. In fact, if anything, it's been a much smoother and better iOS experience for me, from this iPhone 5 mine.  rclxm9.gif

Personally, and this I speak for myself ... Let me reiterate, this I speak for myself, battery life on the iPhone 5 running on iOS 10 has improved much! I'm always on Whatsapp, Safari, YouTube and to top it off, Personal Hotspot is turned on for the most part of the day, just for my iPad 2, and speaking of which, is another awesome piece of tech that has served me well, for the past 6 years; and still, there's juice left on the iPhone 5, until 8pm-ish or about there.

So, yeah, the iOS 10 on the iPhone 5 has been an experience for me, and I haven't looked back since the update.  smile.gif

p/s: I was really hoping the iPad 2 would get the iOS 10 update too but I guess, it's all for good cause.

*
Hehe. I gotta say, just the name alone tells a lot about the case! smile.gif
I suppose this is the one that you're referring to, except this one is on the iPhone 6s instead of iPhone SE lah.

It's look like most well-known brand like UAG, Spigen or others.
*
Indeed, it does look somewhat similar to those brands that you've mentioned.
In fact, Spigen came to mind first when I saw the case design shared by Jasper91!
I'm still very much hooked with the Power Suppoer Air Jacket that I mentioned before, which is why I haven't unboxed the iPhone SE just yet. doh.gif
None of the Apple Premium Reseller seems to have the model for the iPhone SE, so I guess the closest alternative is Apple's own Leather Case (Black), which cost a bomb though. sad.gif

QUOTE(ic no 851025071234 @ Oct 18 2016, 10:54 PM)
I heard many bugs or disappointment with iOS 10. Is it worth to update? I have been getting prompt to update many times but I cancel due to scared unstable and buggy
*
Well, I doubt there's ever an OS out there that's without its fair share of problem ... I believe hmm.gif
You can choose to either embrace the flaws and enjoy the flavors of the new iOS 10 or ... choose to stick around with the existing OS, which, ironically, if you think about it, was the result of your then choice to move forward from the previous OS to the current one, while embracing the flaws and enjoying the flavors!
So, have you updated the iOS yet?

QUOTE(qwertyuioped @ Oct 21 2016, 06:05 PM)
Any regrets getting the SE instead of the 6s/7 ? Thinking wether to get the 64GB SE or spend a lil bit more to get the 6s/7 32GB one.
*
Nope, no regret at all .. Ok, fine! I lied!
I did regret NOT getting the iPhone SE during the 1st round of its post price-slashed period. I supposed there was never a need, considering the existing iPhone 5 of mine is still powerful in its performance, in the context of fulfilling my professional needs as a corporate trainer, as well as my personal needs to be connected with family, friends, and the rest of the world!
Well, things changed after I read about how the iPhone SE is on par with the iPhone 6s Plus, losing out only on few grounds such as 3D Touch, 5MP Front Facing Camera and of course, the most apparent one of all, the 5.5" screen size.
Everything else i.e. Chipset, CPU, GPU, RAM, and more, are actually the same, and with the further discounted price, thanks to then imminent arrival of the iPhone 7 / iPhone 7 Plus, it was a bargain!
However, I took too long on deciding, and that led to "I'm sorry, sir, there's no more iPhone SE Space Grey 64GB anymore" ... Yeah, I did regret NOT getting the iPhone SE during the 1st round of the its post price-slashed period.

QUOTE(xisan @ Oct 21 2016, 07:59 PM)
First thing you will find that the phone is so nice to hold. laugh.gif
*
I gotta give this post a shoutout because truly, the iPhone SE is really nice to hold in the palm of your hand, and in a world where large screen mobile phones are, evidently, dominating the market right now, the iPhone SE, packed with the power of the iPhone 6s Plus, has something that even the iPhone 7 / iPhone 7 Plus can't offer, and that's the convenience of single-hand operational experience!
Now, this might seems like an abstract advantage and to some, it's just "meh" but to those who are more interested in the User Experience, which is what I believe Apple is all about, this is an absolute advantage and this I speak for myself.

QUOTE(nfmbf @ Oct 26 2016, 09:07 AM)
I updated to 10.0.2 and I turned off Raise to Wake function, my battery got longer tahan than before the OS update. That is what i felt
*
Indeed, that should save some battery juice since the Raise to Wake requires accelerometer sensor and the display to function, and that impacts the battery usage.

Guys, i have a question here. IP SE phone backside, is it easily get scratch if didnt put any screen protector/tempered glass? Just curious..

Putting 1 now, becoz scared that it get scratch. First time using IP. And i feel that if didnt put any protector at the back is more nice to hold it. So i am wondering whther is it a good idea not to put any SP/Tempered glass.
*
Eh, bro, I thought you've gotten yourself the casing which you've pasted the photo of it in this forum, no?
Well, in the past, the iPhone 5 of mine, had both its front and back covered with screen protector, finished with the Apple's Leather Case (It was cheaper back then) but now, I'm using the iPhone without any protector whatsoever, and I gotta say, it feels really nice to hold the iPhone 5, as it is!
Words cannot describe it but of course, if you have butter fingers, please get the iPhone SE protected as much as possible.

QUOTE(rafe001 @ Nov 1 2016, 09:28 AM)
Waiting for further drop next year. Hopefully
*
I doubt that and FYI, Machines offers a further discounted price for the iPhone SE just by signing up to be their member.
You might want to check with Machines if interested.
I'm not sure if there's further discount offered by other Apple Premium Reseller though.

Hi, planning to try SE later, will 16GB enough for daily social use (insta, twitter, ws, and browsing)? I dont plan to install any games in there
*
16GB is sufficient if one is discipline enough of monitor the storage usage, every now and then but consider this, add another RM250 and an additional 48GB is at your disposal!
Hope you've gotten the iPhone SE by now!
