Hi guys,

Just changed to iphone Se from android

Is there any way to stop the ios update notifications from coming up every day.

It's very irritating when I do not intend to update to latest 9.3.2 yet.

Hi guys, My SE suddenly draining battery very fast (about 20% every hour when idle) and can't detect any wifi signals during last 2 days. Still same after turn off and restart.
Anyone know what is the problem and solution?

Have you installed the latest iOS 11.3 and checked the battery health?

Can you connect it to iTunes and do a back up, reset and restore?
*
Ok, will try to connect to iTunes to do backup, reset & store later this evening.

Thank for the advice but I worry that i might lose the data on the phone in case any thing goes wrong.

No, if you can successfully backup into iTunes then no worries about the data.

Updated to ios 11.3 Battery health still at 84%

Still can detect any wifi signal and battery drain very fast.

Any other suggestion what might be the problem? Hardware problem? rclxub.gif doh.gif

Did you backup the data, do a factory reset and restore? Battery draining fast shouldn’t be a reason for not being able to defect WiFi so yeah, it’s possible that it’s a hardware issue.

Yes but still same problem.

I guess it's hardware problem.

How much does it cost to repair?

Ya, looks like a hardware problem then. Not sure if the WiFi module is part of the receiver but if it is then it’ll cost you about RM400 at an authorized service centre. Or you could try a third party repair shop since your warranty period is over.

Just checked with outside 3rd party shop near my place

Was quoted RM280 for repair chipset on board to resolve wifi issue

After Wifi repaired, if still have battery drain problem, will cost another RM200+ to repair.

They advise not worth to repair & offered RM200 for phone as spare parts.

What’s the storage size of the phone? If it’s 16GB I’d be inclined not to fix it too.
*
Yeah, it's a 16gb SE

Yeah, then maybe only worth repairing if you plan to keep it for another two years or more.

Nah, most probably just sell it for parts after i factory reset it.

Thanks for your guidance the past 2 days.
