Been using SE since april till now...

honestly?
no difference compared to 6s apart from the much smaller screen that causes me to misdeploy CoC troops in the wrong locations....
doh.gif

so i just dont get the hype...
hmm.gif
*
There is no hype. Just that people who like small screen phones have finally gotten a upgraded iPhone. That's all. But I think iPhone 6 screen size is perfect. 4 inch is just a bit more handy.

I read it somewhere. Pls ignore 😜

A black border will have less disturbance watching a movie. Just like those in theatre.

However, 4 inch is not really suitable to watch movies. Maybe a few short clips is alright. smile.gif

I gave example RM109 assume that you want the upgrade + protection.

Then you are willing to pay RM194 X 24 months ? (not inclusive GST some more)
Maxis want to tie people with their expensive plan with contract. Unless you are really heavy data usage, then why not?

Just ask yourself, if you are often travelling to other states, take either Celcom (NewPhone) or Maxis (Zerolution) coz their 4G network is reliable.
If not, just take the Umobile (Upackage) but need credit card though.

Bought 16GB version from Celcom on First Gold. Gardens mid valley branch. Stock available. Check it out.

Hi. Sharing battery usage of the SE.

1st day was just slightly better than the 5S it replaced. Didn't know why as I couldn't seem to attest to the wonderful battery review by others. But it still lasts the whole day. Normal usage, no GPS. Browsing and Whatsapp. Some we chats. That was the feeling after Day 1.

Today is the 2nd day. It is GREAT! I had about 90 mins Waze, 40 mins safari browsing, 30 mins Bluetooth Music streaming, Whatsapp, 20 mins candy crush and etc. still left 25%. And all these time I have my pebble watch connected. I think SE has wonderful battery life at the end of Day 2.

After a few charge cycles, the battery performance will be optimum. Also, newer processor chip will always be more efficient. biggrin.gif
*
Ya. Actually iPhone battery life has been very decent since iPhone 6

Maybe due to more efficient chipset and improved battery chemistry. rclxms.gif

Yes. Great price per performance.
*
It is worth the price if you don't mind the 4 inch screen. It is very handy. It would be great to use together with iPad. In my humble opinion, media is best consumed on an iPad with decent screen size. Even 5.5 inch would not be enjoyable enough to consume media content.

Same here bro.

I currently using Note 2. Today I went to Switch, played with SE and I found the 4" is good enough. I used the browser, open a site; no problem reading the content.
No experience with IOS except 1st gen Ipad and recently purchased a MBA in dec last year.

its a matter of phablet or phone.  I may go for SE.

You can change the font size to a notch bigger than the default and it would be more legible. It is good enough. smile.gif

I have been and iphone user for the past 3.5 years and Ipad user since the very first iPad.  I like the iOS platform and have been a very loyal fan to Apple.  But recently I have change my mind towards Apple.  I find that Apple products is getting more and more expensive to own.  The very first iPad one was considered a breakthrough product and it's pricing was really great at RM1699 for the base model.  A revolutionary product at great price.  Compare to the latest iPad Pro 9.7" which Apple raise the retail price to RM2699.  Apple has been keeping the price the same for all previous iPad but then decided to raise the price for iPad pro which is ridiculous.

Back in 2011, the iPhone 4 16GB retail for RM2190 but the iPhone 6S retail for RM3199.  For the 6S Plus its even more.  Yes, we did see some currency but in reality APPle just becomes too greedy.

I don't think I will be buying another Apple iphone anymore.  The reason is because its too expensive and also Android is getting better and better now.  There is a lot of phone for half or 1/3 of the price of iPhone that basically is good enough for all my needs.

And for the SE, i think its way overprice too.  Yes, its a fast phone but the screen size of 4" is just to yesteryear.  You can easily get a decent 5" phone that is a lot more useful than the SE for half the price.

I am wondering why are we still supporting Apple which in fact we should be embracing Google.  Google give everything to us for free.  Gmail, Waze, Google Maps, Youtube, etc.

Anyway, that is just my opinion.
*
Totally agree with your observation. This is what is recognized as Apple tax. smile.gif

I switch between android and iOS from time to time. Android has come a long way and its devices are very capable and smooth. Devices are always more affordable compare to iOS devices. My last device was Note 5. It is a great device and battery life is great. Just that my hand started to disagree with its size and develop numbness on my thumb. Maybe it is the way I use my phone. So I've gone to SE and am happy with the size and one hand operation.

Price is subjective because I know iOS devices always fetch slightly better resale value later.

I'm definitely not a fan boy for any platform. But Apple devices always have a special attraction to me.... smile.gif

For some people it's the opposite. They set the smallest size in order to have more content on screen. I suppose each approach has it's pros and cons.

Bigger font for older guys like myself wink.gif

I went to one maxis reseller shop and was told they will charge RM10 for the replacement nano SIM card. I just want to check with you guys whether this is correct?
*
You can go directly to maxis center. Try to sweet talk them and ask them to waive the replacement fee. It can be done.

SE 64GB gold reporting in ! Got it for RM2380 😌. So far so good. Liking the 2GB ram.
One question. Does the SE charge faster with the iPad charger like 6 & 6s ?
*
It should charge faster. However, the battery is very small. It charges quite fast even with the original charger

This is too generalized of a statement. And it doesn't reflect the actual scenario.

I think the more accurate statement would be one hand operation, and current spec with lower price.
