Seems like many of you have bought the iPhone SE... How is it thus far, and is it good value for money? rclxms.gif

There is someone I know who is a current Android user and is thinking of switching to iOS, due to various problems he has faced with the phone. He is looking at the iPhone SE and wondering whether to get that one for starters? hmm.gif

I'm heavy android user (since HTC Hero, LG Optimus 2x till LG V10).
I tried iphone 5s (last few days), 6 (last a week) & 6s (less than a day), end up failed to keep me wanna use.
But this SE, really something. I can't tell what's the bright side of it, but even with 16gb (people keep saying go for 64gb), it feels good.

I have Ip4, Ip5s, Ip6, Ip6+ and the Ip5Se, ended up using the Ip5Se. I was using the Ip6+, Big display but the Ip5 smaller form factor appeals to me also the interface is very fluid like the Ip6+ at much cheaper2 price point. If you are looking for a phone with occasional browsing, the Ip5S is a good start.

Disember last year i used 6s due to my S3 too old already and doesn't worth to repair
and after use few month 6s, i not comfortable with the size even the previous S3 is in same size
it difficult for my poket when i work and to hold it when i used touch light

i always used touch light for my job as technical services

and i give to my wife 6s to buy ip5se

small size, smooth like 6s & battery life can hold until night 1 full charges

the cons only the wifi speed half than 6s tongue.gif

i heavy used Fb, whatsapp and some games

and i just used IOS for 8 months, really like it due to simplicity

Seems like the iPhone 5 still remains popular amongst most smartphone users, when compared with the bigger form factor of the 6 and 6S... No wonder Apple decided to re-release it as an SE model, but what makes you Android users actually switch to this one (which is likely to be smaller sized than most and less feature-packed than Android phones)? laugh.gif

Well I've been using some of Iphones series myself for testing purpose, being ended up failed. 5s is the last iphone before SE. Iphone6 last me about a week, which required me to charge during mid day (failed miserably). Same goes for SE, mainly for testing, but SE simply impress me with the battery performance, which last about 2 days per charge. Even for today whole usage from 8am till now another day 1.36am, still got 77% battery. Maybe I less use but it's pretty damn impressive. My G4 already used up 2 full charged 3000mah battery for the same cycle, now using 3rd battery.

Back to your question, the reason stick to SE for the moment is, mine is 16gb, hard to sell when people opt to 64gb. Nonetheless, I use it myself, gambling later on to sell unsealed SE would be much cheaper price. And I know SE won't be able to fulfill my need as a smartphone, might sold it out later. But SE fill me where G4 can't, about 1 handed usage, latest app, smooth transition UI, good camera picture. My other alternative would be Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, or Mi Max, or Huawei Mate 8 for big 4000mah battery last same like 1700mah on SE.

Not bad, looks like you have definitely conserved your phone battery very well... Contrast with my iPhone 6, which is fully charged in the morning but sometimes ends up going below the 20% "Low Battery Mode" threshold before I even finish work at 1800 hrs! shakehead.gif

This is definitely due to my heavy iPhone usage - for work-related stuff most of the time, but also to play games, access FB / Twitter / Instagram / LYN, or watch YouTube when I'm free! laugh.gif

Do you guys notice the back of your phone the colour part (gold silver rose gold etc) easy to get stain? I put my phone in a pouch and sometimes when I put other things together I can get stain by the other things example ink from paper etc
*
I think ink will stain any surface. Not relating to colors. Use a simple case to prevent that.

You should look into your setting.

Setting - General - Background App Refresh

Disable background refresh that you don't need, especially Facebook. You can also disable Whatsapp because it doesn't affect messages coming in.

Charging overnight, many have different opinions. Just use it as to your own convenience. Don't worry too much. If it does fail, there are many service provider in Lowyat forum who can offer to replace battery at reasonable price.

you can try cleaning the charging port. Check if there is anything stuck inside. Try another lightning cable and charger. Good luck.

They are quite expensive IIRC. Apart from the price, it can only be used with individual handphones. unlike a power bank, it can be shared with others too. For me a lightning cable is a must. Wherever I go, there will be usb ports available, even nowadays, most recent cars have facility in them.
