hi guys,

bringing up this thread.

- any plan that with longer validity days + usable DATA ?
*
There are two (2) prepaid plans that may fill this requirement:

1. Digi Best Prepaid 2016 = has 365 days validity at RM68 with 500MB monthly quota basic internet
2. BuzzMe prepaid = has 365 days validity at RM38 with high speed data quota subscription that does not expire.

Others with long validity:

a. Altel has 365 days at RM28 and data at 5sen/MB payu (pay-as-you-use)
b. Friendi auto extends 60days validity with any data usage at 7.5sen/MB payu
c. OneXOX has 28 months initial validity to match with high speed season pass
d. Tron gives 365 days with any >= RM10 topup and data at 10sen/MB payu
e. Tunetalk has 365 days at RM28 and data at 5sen/MB payu (or addon with weekly RM2 100MB quota)

Edited: Typo corrected for buzzme.

If Celcom, I understand there is no more 365 validity too.
But is it can request for old plan like maxis?
*
Let's make this clear and hopefully be of help to someone:

1. All older celcom prepaid plans from Xpax (Xlite/Xmid) up-to IOX can subscribe to extended validity.

2. EXP1/EXP2 is tested and verified to be working as of 3rd January 2017.

3. USSD menu *118# for extended validity is not working since late 2015 (magicsim period).

4. Extended validity can only be subscribed using SMS. To subscribe, send EXP1 or EXP2 to 28882

5. EXP1 = 1 year at RM30 / EXP2 = 2 years at RM50

6. Must accumulate RM30 worth of topups within 6 months of EXP subscription or else it will be canceled.

7. There is no way to migrate/revert/subscribe to any of the old xpax plans. Period.

Hey guys, jz notices Digi no longer have super long life. which Telco offer 365 days?

Also izit possible to mnp to the said Telco?
Thanks guys
*
Digi Best prepaids do have super long life. The latest prepaid Best 2016 have revised the SLL price to RM108 ... shocking.gif
If you're on digi best then check the version first.

Other than digi there's Altel, Buzzme, Onexox, Tron, Tunetalk ... If you need roaming then Altel/Onexox/Tunetalk else check them out to what fits your needs ... shouldn't be a problem to mnp to any of these telco ...

My onexox works fine with msos and tac and otp ...

Sometimes the sms can be delayed very long. What I do is I sms bal to 22111 to see if the sms server is overload/delayed.

Celcom no more offering extended validity to current and new prepaids. Only older prepaids still have this option. You cannot mnp to older versions either.

Your best bet would be either

1. ONEXOX - rm25/year (can stack validity, free 28months validity for mnp)
2. Tunetalk - rm10/year (on promo now, cannot stack)
3. Altel - rm28/year (cannot stack)
4. BuzzMe - rm38/year (cannot stack)
5. Tron - rm10 topup for 365days validity (cannot stack)
6. Digi Best - rm108/year (cannot stack)

Can use at Kuching?
*
Celcom infra - ONEXOX, Tunetalk, Altel
Digi infra - Tron, Digi Best
Umobile infra - BuzzMe

I know C and D works fine in Kuching but not sure about U ... For just keeping a backup number on-the-side then its worth to try use onexox.

Hope that helps ...

my parents hotlink have rm400 and rm300 credits.. keep reloading rm30 per month not a good solution.

can i use existing credit purchase validity ?
*
Hmmm .....

First, check the hotlink version. If its the old hotlink Xtra or Bagus then there is option for 365 days validity.

i bought a basic GPS watch for my kids. It require all day 2G network connection (especially between 7AM to 6PM) for sending coordinate to server. this watch also can make and receive normal calls.

my requirement will be:
1. Long validity simcard (calls and data)
2. Basic internet connectivity, no need 4G or super speed one. furthermore the watch only supporting 2G.
3. preferably i can monitor the simcard status without plugging it into another phone. some provider have mobile app and web portal for this.
4. Usage per month: Calls (maybe less than 30 minutes), Data (minimum 200MB-300MB)

did some research, some provider support long validity only for the card, data still need to topup every month. so far, tunetalk +VIBE 200 meet this requirement, still looking for any other option

This is easy peasy .... you need ONEXOX with Season Pass Plus ... Simpack RM10 + Season Pass Plus RM60 ... enough data for 12 months with 383 minutes talktime. You can monitor data usage and subscriptions on selfcare portal or using MyXOX app.

And yes, you will also get 28 months initial validity and can extend some more if you want ...
