Look out for Mark Ronson with his album Versions..In it he "remixes" some tracks, adding a really cool twist to some songs, and making them totally new...
Some of the notable mentions are his version of Britney's Toxic (AMAZING) and Radiohead's Just (rendered me speachless the first time i heard it..) and a song called Valerie by the lovely Amy Winehouse, whose album Back to Black is pretty sweet too... Another album worth checking out is Rhythms Del Mundo..Its essentially contemporary music redone in the Cuban Latin style.. Notable mentions include their version of Maroon 5's She Will Be Loved, Radiohead's High & Dry, Norah Jones' Dont Know Why and Jack Johnson's Better Together... Two TOTALLY amazing albums to get.. |

QUOTE(dinodog_Jr @ May 22 2007, 07:20 PM) Volta made me puke a little inside. On the bright side, Bjork's still miles better than the Fionna Apple that could never really sing. Medulla/Debut > Volta big time.On a side topic, everyone (besides metalheads) should get a dose of Maroon 5's new album (released today)- it might actually be AWESOME pop that runs circles around Justin and Nelly's previous albums, and it's also killing the charts now. (They also seemed to learn a little from The Arcade Fire. |

I read more negative comments on Bjork's Volta album. Perhaps Bjork was getting influenced by Mike Patton which was a special guest and he did produced a few "sound-effects" album which oso letting down his major-time diehard fans.
Seems like this is the first time i am goin to listen the Maroon 5. How bout Tori Amos new album? Any good sparks in der~? Which albums u r listening from EITS now ? These song tittles- What do you go home to?, It's Natural to be Afraid, Welcome Ghost, So long ,lonesome, Catastrophe and the Cure doesn't seems like from official released album to me.. |

Tori's American Doll Posse- Quite some nice tracks. But you have to cherrypick what's good and listen to 'em only for the best feeling. It's less stellar than Scarlet's Walk (I'm not even mentioning Little Earthquakes territory here), but the first 10 tracks are as good as the first 7 on Scarlet. Big Wheel makes this worth getting with the usage of MILF. Explosions In The Sky released their new album, All Of A Sudden I Miss Everyone, this February. It's by far, the best overall album of 2007. I love the addition of the piano. |

Cool info..
I love Scarlet's walk. Dat's is a beautiful album from Tori Amos. Mature & contented. About the previous half album sounds nice from American Doll Posse, this happend to "Beekeeper" imo too. CDnow don't care bout EITS new album release info~~~... It's such a shame being an EITS fan but no idea they released new album so long while ago.. thx for the links~. |
