Ms yong cant even decide on where to get it yet. Let me give more low down on the DS scene for pricing and what not. ( I should really get started on the faq to reduce this kind of thread, sigh)

1. The shopkeeper in SG Wang are known to tell you their grandmother and father story. They will elad you on a wild goose chase. Calculate the pricing throug h their all mighty calculator as if they are dividing their wealth and come up with an exuberent price that threathens to bankrupt you and your whole family. I kid you not.
2. Get as much info about DS before you make your purchases. Question is good. Reading up on it is better. Go to wikipedia and gamefaqs for some info in regard of this.
3. Try to go with a guy ( if you are a girl) Ask the guy to bargain for you if you are not confident. And be well know about this. Maximum price for a FLASHED DS LITE is 600. Thats the most expensive it can go. Some forumer have gotten a flashed ds at 500. I have gotten mine at 550 over 2 months ago. Go figure

No idea, I have encountered a fellow at SG wang which claims to sell DS Lite at 500. But on further questioning he said that only White DS lite is at 500. And for the flashing process, a "modchip" need to be installed on the DS. Raising the price to 650 ringgit.

I promptly walk out on him.

But i read somewhere in the massive library of Nintendo that there is someone which manage to procure a DS at the price of RM 500. Dont remeber who or where. Sorry

White DS lite? Avoid like a plague. There is a notable hinge problem. The hinge for a white ds have very high percentage to crack. This might be due to the fact that the White ds is the first batch of DS lite on sale and have some design problem.

Just avoid white. I prefer black. But pink is quite a good colour. If you are manly enough to get it that is

I do not think so. There shouldnt be any special price for the black DS as it is not newly launched. But there is special price for Special edition of DS. Namely the Winnig eleven DS lite, Pokemon DS Lite and Final Fantasy DS Lite. Those are significantly more expensive.

Animal Crossing. Clubhouse game. Final Fantasy 3. and a few significant other games that escapes my ever tiring mind now.

@ Mitodna: FF3 is RARE now. Expect the retailer to bring out a chainsaw when you ask for FF3. Last known price for it before the FF3 goes rare is at 180. Yes sir, thats how expensive it is. Onyx Ds should be 550. There should be no reason for it to be more expensive.

@Yong: You are welcomed. Flashme itself is used to flash your DS. Upon flashing the DS, the DS contain the firmware Flashme already. Passme is only needed if you didnt flash your ds. Flash cart such as Supercard is need to play Homebrew and ahem stuff.

Doubt it ash, Hafez13 ds lite white cracked. And he got it for less then 1 month.

Not sure mitodna. I dont really know about screen protector but the favourite from all tiem is Hori so i assume its good. The price should be around 30. And you can "pester" the retailer for a free protector when purchasing your DS.

Can can can. I tried on 4 retailer while questing for a good price. All agreed to give me free.
