Despite his unsuccessful spells at Crystal Palace and Norwich City in the Premier League last season, Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford is still in high demand. According to the Daily Mail, Championship clubs Aston Villa (which we've heard before), Fulham, QPR and Wolverhampton are interested in taking the 22-year-old on a loan deal. Another club in the chase are Scottish side Celtic, with former Liverpool manager and Chelsea Reserves coach Brendan Rodgers as their new boss at helm.
Throughout the 2015-16 season, Bamford made 16 appearances without scoring any goals for his two loan clubs. Having failed to impress at the Premier League level, clubs in the second level of English football are now hoping that he can reproduce his form from two seasons ago, when he earned the Championship Player of the Year award while playing for Middlesbrough.
Bamford has two years left on his contract, and will be 23 by the end of next season. Once seemingly within a hair's breadth of the first-team, it's now hard to envision Bamford making that push with younger and arguably more talented players coming up from the Academy, not to mention new signings like Michy Batshuayi arriving.
Bamford has not been included in any of Antonio Conte's pre-season trainings or matches. Best of luck to him wherever his journey takes him, whether on loan or on a permanent move.

As we learned yesterday, with the news that Napoli will be offering a new contract to Kalidou Koulibaly to keep him at the club, Chelsea's options are dwindling quickly as far as defensive reinforcements are concerned. The strongest standing rumor seems to be about Benfica's young Victor Lindelof, though he'd be an option that's long on price and short on experience.
New names are needed! Fortunately, here's the Mirror to help us out; they claim that Lazio center back Stefan de Vrij has been added to Chelsea's shortlist.

The 24-year-old Dutch international, who joined Lazio after impressing at the 2014 World Cup, had missed all of last season with a knee injury. While that sounds ominous, it does also knock his transfer fee down to an almost bargain-sized £15m — certainly nowadays £15m is practically nothing, right?

Chelsea closing in on deal for Romelu Lukaku
Romelu Lukaku is edging closer to a Stamford Bridge return after Chelsea launched a £40m bid for him, according to the Daily Star.
The forward scored 25 goals for Everton last year and has emerged as one of the clubs main transfer targets this summer, especially with the growing uncertainty over the of Diego Costa.
Lukaku would become the second striker to be signed by the club this summer, after the arrival of Michy Batshuayi earlier in the month.

Chelsea have entered the race to sign PSG midfielder Blaise Matuidi, according to Gazetta World.
The Italian outlet claim that the French international has grown disillusioned at the club following the signing of Grzegorz Krychowiak from Sevilla this summer, and could be looking for a move away.
The West London club have already signed N'Golo Kante this summer, and could look to pair him in midfield with his French teammate, Matuidi, especially with Nemanja Matic's exit looking likely.

Christensen is set to stay at Gladbach for another season on loan before returning to Stamford Bridge in the 2017/18.
Chelsea have no interest in selling the 20-year-old defender and have earmarked him to be a potential successor to John Terry.

. we only go for overprice player that have decent (and poor mostly) performance. i miss 2014/2015 season where most of our signing are spot on (fab and costa). and i notice that our signing become more and more poor. is it due to pak roman oil business or because of our new stadium? if money is the main concern, i saw a lot of other club sign cheap player with top notch performance eg mahrez (leicester) and kante (leicester)
