i new to NDS scene. can someone help me?

Which is better buy new NDS or second hand ( my budget 400-550)

2- Can NDS play homebrew apps? or can NDS be mod?
3- what is the flashcard thingy issit for NDS to carry alot of game like PSP..?
4- NDS only play ori game? can play A^&*^&8 (cough) game?
5- i looking forward NDS can function like PSP meaning can play MP3, video, play game ori and uhukk cough cough game, browse web. not to forget stylus style(PDA like function)
6- i saw someone selling NDS RM 350 issit ok for me to buy??

1.NDS is the big ass version. Very heavy with short battery life ( so they say) NDSL is the smaller slicker version you see everywhere else. Its price around 550 ( new)

2.Yes can play hoembrew.
3.Flashcart is for homebrew and ahem game.
4.NDS can be mod. Its called Flashing it using Flashme.
5.Can play using moonshell a type of homebrew for movie and mp3. You can also buy a cart that was newly launched to play mp3. You can browse web using another cart which was also made jsut for web browsing.
6. If you think its worth it. Its worth it

p/s : all other info can be used with a bit of search or wikipedia love.

NDS - shorter battery life? how short (hours) r v talking here compare with NDSlite?
other than this which 1 is more compatible towards modding or flashing or alteration or watsoever you want to do with it?

yeah, nds has shorter battery life compared to ndsl. and actually ndsl has different battery lifes depends on the brightness of the screens. so the brighter the screens are, the shorter the battery life will be.

for second question, although i didnt mod mine, i can say that each console has no big differences actually and could be modded.

1. Of course a new one is better as you can take care of it yourself.

2. a NDS can be modded to run Flashcarts, also homebrew is pretty good allowing it to do many things.

3. yeah it can carry a lot of game, each game max size is around 128MB and the flashcart you can get a 1GB SD card. So you can averagely fit around 15+ games.

4. Yeah of course can play original and you need a flashcart for the other one.

5. If you got a flashcart, you can run a homebrew called Moonshell which allows you to do anything photos, videos, Mp3 and more!

6. Unless it's a DSL don't get it as DSL is a massive upgrade from the DS. You will regret if you got a DS and later see someone's DSL.

Actually asking is ok. But the thing is this, we prowl this area all the time. And a lot of ppl come in. Ask then leave. Not bothering to read anything. or search. This happens 4 times a week. We got tired of it.
I got pissed at it. Hence the FAQ.
