According to an anonymous source, we've been told Microsoft will be revealing the official release date of its highly anticipated Bungie-developed shooter soon. The company is expected to announce that Halo 3 will ship to North American consumers on September 25th of this year, with European Xbox 360 owners getting the game just one day later on September 26th.
That's just a couple days after the Tokyo Game Show goes down in Japan, a move which could be seen as an effort to downplay announcements from Microsoft's competitors.
I'm off to the Halo 3 Hollywood premiere event, kicking off within the hour, so keep your eyes peeled for news.

Hmm the way the teabagging was working.. it could only mean one thing... WE CAN KICK BODIES AROUND!!!! Hopefully the bodies will stay there long enough to make it fun! ;P
Again, it's all the small small details that make halo great~
Everyone, fasten your seatbelt!! Get ready for Halo 3 beta tonight!!!
In the full retail game this fall, you can even snip out a clip of a particularly amazing moment. Send a Friend the cool explosion rather than the entire, tense match.
And the advantage of Saved Films is that they play back in whatever resolution your Xbox 360 and TV are set to. Record a saved film on your tiny 4:3 TV and watch it later at a friend's house in 1080p, with Dolby 5.1 surround sound. When the game ships in Fall, you'll be able to pause the game just as a rocket "whooshes" by your ear, and still here a convincing rocket "whoosh" sound, even in still mode.

The graphics, need some work but looks good enough for a BETA game! Network interface, Truly NEXT GEN even it's an unfinish product!! Now if you finish a game with stranger on matchmaking, you could just press x to form up a party with them instantly for new game.
Gona play more to try all the new weapon.

Bungie.net Improved Halo 3 Beta Stats...
Added on May 17, 2007, 1:12 pmTeabagging in action + How the matchmaking works.
See how the replay upload works!
It's impressive how bungie integrate all of this into Live. This is suppose to be the standard of all live game, and it's suppose to be what we are paying for (the subscription fee)

halo3 ROOOCKS!! btw, u can party up with other ppl, such as ppl on yer frenz, n if u want to join or invite, u can only do so in the "lobby", which is kinda weird. i think it mite be better to have invites during games
In the full game, you can either host a game invite others or go matchmaking with your friends together in the "lobby"
ith the amount of posts we see on our forums ... it's clear, Microsoft decided to start banning Xbox360 with modified firmwares today. While it's the same release date as Halo3 beta, it seems that people who didn't download Halo3 also get banned. They probably detect backup discs (and not the modified firmware) when you play 'em online (not confirmed yet). Even people using the new firmwares with disc-jitter added get banned, so it looks like Microsoft found another way to detect it. Just like on Xbox1 it seems Microsoft bans the console unique ID, not the LIVE user. Many people on the official xbox.com forums also claim they got banned but didn't have a flashed firmware ... we'll have to see how that story develops in the coming hours and days.
So i guess now it's a hassle if wana connect to Live with modded console.

Ok.. guys.. time to be mindful of all the cheap 2nd hand 360s that are going to pop out all over the wood work now!
Anyway my thoughts after managing to get two rounds of Halo 3 in last night. - I need to remember not to press X to reload - I need to remember not to press the right thumbstick to jump - I need to remember to press the DPad before screaming "Look out, behind you!!!" (I hate that!! time to file a bug report!)
Exactly!!! I think all ex-halo players will be like pressing X non-stop What? You use thumbstick to jump!?!

Beta is beta, demo is demo. Beta are for player to participate so they can improve the game, flush out all the major bug and getting feedback from the player.
Demo is a trial game taken out from the full retail version.
Anyway, have my 1st Halo 3 Betafiesta with fellow Malaysian, i am so...touch, sniff sniff. Long time didn't hear Malaysian voice liaw...well, not the Halo-way of course - like hearing Marauderz Scream when he can't laser me due to x9999 factor out there. Good thing about halo is the proximity voice chat, so we can talk to the enemy. "John is cheating man!"
Yes yes, i know i am teleport king but hey, it's not like i want it to be like that!

Yes yes, agree. MK84 doesn't move that much but he is a pretty good camper sniper Got snipe by him alot of time. Usually camper just sit there and die...not this one.
Eh eh, if next time got see me on Live and don't mind me teleporting, invite me wei~
A Halo modding community has accidentally made various hidden game files public, found by retrieving hidden data in the Halo 3 Beta code. Before we go any further, a warning: the following are in no way official or confirmed features of Halo 3.
* New equipment: Instacover ; Smoke (suggested this might be a smoke grenade?) ; Jammer * New vehicles: Chopper ; Pelican ; Shadow * New weapons: Flamethrower ; Claymore Grenade * New mode: Infection (described as "Destroy the Flood or become infected. Score points for killing flood or big points for infecting a human. The player with the most points wins." * New rankings: The highest rankings are now Killpocalypse and Killionaire, instead of Double Kill and Triple Kill. * A reference to a map editor has also been found, a returning feature from Halo 2.
