I rented it for a few days and during usage, I found that the manual focus is slightly awkward to use or some would say fiddly.

I currently own one. I use it mostly when travelling, when you need a very portable tripod with legs that can cater for almost every situation possible. When I'm not on vacation mode, then I'll use it for casual shooting. It also depends on how often you're using it - if you're using it once in a while, then it may not.

That's one of the downsides, not all Canon lenses are universally compatible with its DSLR models. For example, I have no choice but to let go my one and only APS-C only fisheye lens because it won't work nicely on a FF DSLR like the newly announced 6D Mark II

I can confirm this. Switched from EOS80D 5 months ago with very minimal switching costs and so far, I am very pleased with it
