Probably EOS R would be my last purchase for body, for the next 3 years or so.
Didn't know you went R, I'm thinking to go RP.Photography Canon EOS Family, One Big EOS Family - V59, The White Paladins' Territory!

QUOTE(goldfries @ Aug 22 2019, 09:20 PM) You're shooting with 6dii?I sold my 6dii and changed to EOS R for the sensor upgrade. I just shot a wedding 70% with eos r, 30% with 5diii. I love this camera. Great image quality, autofocus, and low light performance. Only 2 minor concerns, the touch screen very sensitive, sometimes rubbing against my cloth will change its settings, most notably the AF point. Second problem is, I shoot alot with viewfinder, got a slight lag after every click of shutter. Need to get used to it. For battery life, it took me 1.5 batteries to shoot about 1200 photos. Overall, saves my back and hand, much 200g lighter. Speaking about ergonomics and ease of use, it only took me 2 days playing with the settings and buttons. Customize based on my personal preference and good to go. This post has been edited by Michaelbyz23: Aug 25 2019, 03:27 PM |

Sold all your canon gears already? Why not just go for Sony if for video works. Not a single Sony model has flippy screen that works like Canon. Unless it's A5100. A6400? LOL That's the price of an RP I think. |

Thinking of getting my first RF lens.
Finally with IS version of 24-70: 24-70 f2.8L IS USM Or 15-35mm f2.8L IS USM Not getting 28-70 f2, because its 1.5kg and cost RM12k, and got no IS. Not getting 50mm f1.2 because my Sigma 50 1.4 works perfectly. Considering the 24-70mm, because my Mark I not sharp enough at 2.8, especially when taking group photos during wedding dinner. I use this focal range alot for event shoot. But for travelling purpose, I use alot of 35 1.4 and 17-40mm. Hopefully this 24-70mm is around RM8k once released This post has been edited by Michaelbyz23: Aug 28 2019, 10:17 PM |

Waiting for the new lens to come out and for people to do reviews first.I am considering the RF version because I need the IS for EOS R actually. Looking through the EVF, without IS, can get a little dizzy, especially at 70mm end. Getting more prone to motion sickness. Plus it would be my FIRST and LAST RF lens purchase already. Pokai. Lol. Or with RM9000 budget, do you recommend getting EF2470 II + EF1635 II both used? Currently shooting with 17-40 f4. Still loving this lens, but looking to upgrade because in need of wider aperture and sharper lens at widest angle. Also, do you shoot with 2470 mark ii? And if so, how is your experience compared to Mark I, in terms of image quality, at 2.8. This post has been edited by Michaelbyz23: Aug 29 2019, 09:38 AM |

Some test shots to play around with EOS R Dynamic range. Loving it so far. Best in the class among other Canon models.

I used to have both 24-70 I and II. The II is in another league! it's a freaking amazing piece of optics. I don't care much about the I. It's a much better lense in term if sharpness. If you are into landscape, 24-70 II + 16-35 F4 IS is more logical choice than the new EF 24-70 bare. Of course, having the new R myself. I am on the fence going back to EF or keeping up with the new RF. It's way more expensive considering what you can get for a great used EF lenses these days. Cheer |

Hi all, having some question here,
I have zero experience at all in videography, I have a 700D and an EF-S to work with, Let's say if I purchase a stabilizer such as this: https://s.lazada.com.my/s.ZgJ9D to pair with my gears at fully autofocus, will it yield better result than handheld/monopod a smartphone, eg: Galaxy S10/iPhone XS Max? |

QUOTE(Snoopycute98 @ Aug 28 2019, 05:47 PM) RP can proper video works meh? What is your definition of proper? If my D750 also I can use for video, why not? EOS RP does it better for me, with face AF. But yes it'll do for video work, just a matter of whether it suits your requirement. |
