Rocket Internet owner of Lazada business strategy from day 1 was to aggressively expand quick and sell if off later.
Undercut competitors with lots of discounts, not caring about profit but market expansion, in fact they were doing a negative profit operation for years, lossing millions per year.
Expand quick gain market share and huge customer base
Then Bam sold it off for US 1 Billions Dollars baby

thinking lzd is the best generous e-commerce entity and doing financially well, in fact making loss all the time with these sort of marketing practise

lzd not back by gold mine/oil tycoon with unlimited cash, sure got intention behind, ie sell off company to make one big lump sum money, not bother the fight among competitors with little operation margin

i'm seeing several app company is doing the same way, one day they would also sell off company, by now their strategy is juz disrupt the market to gain market attention

it would one day, for now the V1 first batch, they are testing inland for firmware problems or users negative feedback etc

then finalize it with a better package product then only do overseas sale, for their brand reputation

ie. using own inland market feedback as white rat test first, many of cn company doing this way, the export model always better in quality and experience.

I just bought Xiaomi Dashcam last night around 200+ after applied coupon.

Hope the cam doesn't let me disappointed
