This is just a simple question. Can we use cursive writing during our exams? It is a form of writing that is considered outdated in our lifetime, despite this cursive writing was the norm before computers and ballpoint pen came to be. It was also the symbol of status and wealth, but nowadays due to the lack of use, they can't read cursive writing on historical documents that is in fact mostly written in cursive.

I've met this problem with people all the time with my writing. They can't read what I'm writing.
So please share your thoughts below.

As you say, people can't read cursive writing, do you want to risk losing our marks even if it is allowed in the exam when the marker cannot read your cursive writing?

I don't think they are rules that specifically say you can't.

I would be impressed if someone can do cursive writing in the exams. I may have difficulty to read at first, but then given the context of the exam, surely I know what you're writing about.

and within a few minutes, I should get used to how you write certain letters.

I personally wouldn't risk it, but as mentioned, there aren't rules saying that you can't.

I assume you mean proper cursive too, not just joined together chicken scratch.

Please emphatise the marker having hard time finding your POVs for the sake of them awarding marks so you won't repeat or retake that exam.

If people have expressed that they have difficulty reading your writing, I suggest you not to do so in exams. Imagine marking tons of papers and coming across one that is hard to read, they wouldn't have the patience..
