Hi everyone, anyone experiencing heavy lag playing this game? Could it be because of the TM submarine cable being damaged?

Yeah lag starts from 6pm onwards, playing during early mornings and afternoon seem to be bearable.

I usually average a 230-275ms ping latency with this game until February - now it is around 400++ms with crazy 1-4k lag spikes. I've been using wtfast to bring it back down to the 230~300ms but my trial ends in a few days, so sad. This is also in all game modes btw. There does seem to be also something funky happening server side I'm sure which causes the spikes, but the latency up to 400 is probably from some submarine cable somewhere that needs fixing. I play EU, but if I'm not mistaken the game server is actually in Austin?

For the first time since February, Sunday 9:30pm EU server time I was able to get ~210ms ping directly connected. Unfortunately the happiness did not last long as it's now back to being crappy again. Anyone else playing late last night (it would be about around 4am Monday morning). Now it's back to using vpn
My ip range at the time was 175.137.* I suppose perhaps it was the time I was playing but I do know there has been a lot of people complaining about lag from sea/aus/nz/ocx/canada in the past 3 weeks on EU mostly though there are those that faced the same on US server. |
