So fast wanna list in mid-September. I'm assuming the IPO application will be open for a week, and another week for ballotting and listing.

This is a ridiculous IPO.

How can such a company be granted listing when its core business of bus operations is losing money. The profits comes from advertising in Amanjaya bus station and its all short term padded up revenue.

And I wonder why is Deloitte so desperate for the job. They should be more cautious after the 1mdb fiasco.

Before I would comment an early analysis into this company, bear in mind that anyone who wishes to apply for this IPO to take an extra xx,100 into consideration when applying as Tricor will once again perform the balloting.

Without further ado, the pros and cons for this IPO (Disclaimer: This bears my opinion and not by others and so forth. Therefore, my opinions may be right or wrong in some ways. If there is anything I may have said wrong, feel free to correct that out)

Pros
- Syariah status of this company has been approved
- Consistent increase in Profit After Tax and EPS margin by the year
- Potential for growth expansion around the Northern Region is present
- The repayment for hire purchase facilities stands at 5.74% and kept at minimal
- Most of their stage buses and all express buses are relatively less than 5 years old.
- Minimal impact on forex cost
- Reduction in director's remuneration

Cons
- While "cheap" (0.15), this company has a huge pool of shares. Meaningless to say, it will be difficult though not impossible to fly on listing date or within 6 months of listing. At 1.142 billion shares, it will have the largest share pool among all IPO companies this year.
- Mostly Government related projects
- Highly concentrated onto public transportation segment (though the gap will be narrowed with other diversified businesses in the years to come)
- Neck-to-neck gearing ratio (Ignoring the pro-formas)

While we cannot say this will be a great IPO, it should be more than enough to generate some come listing day.

The last two IPOs, Chin Hin and HSS all had 100s at the beginning of the price range. (Example: 25,100 to 100,000 and 100,100 to 500,000)

It is known to not only affect your chances in getting the shares allotted but also the amount of shares as you can bid 100 shares more to get an extra 1,000 shares, which is a huge difference in terms of both profiting and breakeven on listing date.

I might, but Imm considering this IPO again die to the pool of shares in the company. Normally anything above 800 million shares, I will have to re-consider again.

But if there is anything to say that there will be the same manpower like KTC and LKL, I would suspect they can only push to 22 to 24 sen only. To further add in, there is no dilution in this shares but rather it is excess in price this time.

Also, you do not arbitrage profits. Arbitrage only works if say Perak Transit is listed on SGX and want to sell on Bursa, not IPO. It's just that, if you got selected for this allotment, you get a chance to sell at a premium (or a discount) depending on certain factors.

Possible. That is provided, the IPO is undersubscribed. Usually 50 lots based on past history can get you allotted 10 to 20 lots. It also depends on the size of the IPO and also the amount of public share pool offered.

Some give you 100% meaning you bid for 20 lots and you also can get 20 lots if you're successful. However, you can also place 26 lots and you also get 20 lots because from 20 to 35 lots, will yield you only 20 lots provided if your application is successful.

For this one, I'll leave this question to the others for more details. But from my understanding, you need to have a huge capital or if you play with the brokerages frequently, you can try to demand for a private placement.

Alternatively, if you are a Bumiputera investor, some IPOs can also be applied via MITI. Unlike PPs (Private Placements), you can bid even a minimum of 25 lots, all subjected to the directors at MITI for approval with the right documents. Hope this helps.

Price is definitely tempting though I'm trying to figure out if i would be able to secure the number of units that i want. I wouldn't want them end up giving me limited units and findings it hard to break-even on the listing date. Plus looking at the KLCI going down aint fun!

I'll read the companies prospectus tomorrow and would come up with a decision.

I'll expect IBs to give TPs of 0.17 to 0.20 on average so should be okay. The only worrying factor is the share size and the future market conditions.
