Almost one year from my post on 20/5/2015, let see the progress

1) UTAR new campus (confirmed)--------------------------------already open in June 2015
2) SRJK © Bandar Sungai Long (to be confirmed)--------------shall be open on 21 March 2016 ie few days from now!
3) Access road-Bukit Sungai & Silk Highway--------------------should be open this week if my source don't bluff me 

Only now Nanyang Siang Pau report the access road will be open on 18/3/16, we lowyat forumner knew it since last Friday

I never think BTHO traffic is better than Sg Long but they have more choices eg to enter BTHO you can choose to exit at BMC/BTHO junction which is jam for sure on top of paying RM1.30 or enter via Cheras Sentral Plaza pass by Tmn road toll free or enter via Silk but jam if in rush hour.

Got to wait for next year when the school accept Standard 1 to 6.

11 out of 21 teachers in SJK C Sg Long are transferred from SJK C Batu 11, will be more come next year according to my neighbour who also teaches in Batu 11, the students will adjust faster with familiar teachers it shall solve the worry of the parents. Consider the distance and convenience, I forsee more parents will transfer their kids next year.

By then, good luck to SL6 residents, more jam in the morning for good cause.

i counted today...10mins   faster than BMC but RM1.30  

BMC take how long let say from UTAR Sg Long to GS Highway?

I stay in sg long, I'm one of the contributor to jam in BMC... lol

Nvm... RM1.30.. lol

In fact, BMC route shorter by 1+km compare with Jln Sg Long, however the jam conditions is simply too bad I rather pay toll.

After acquisition will Taliworks divert some traffic from GS Highway to Silk Highway via Jalan Sg Long (ie build new exit) towards Balakong direction?

PETALING JAYA: Water and infrastructure company Taliworks Corp Bhd is closer to concluding its deal to buy Silk Holdings Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary Sistem Lingkaran-Lebuhraya Kajang Sdn Bhd (Silk) within the next few months.

Speaking to reporters after the company's AGM and EGM here yesterday, Taliworks chief investment officer Kevin Chin Soong Jin said both parties are in discussions on pricing, given that traffic volume has come down after a toll rate increase last October.

"We expect this acquisition to conclude in the next few months ... the outcome is favourable. The motivation for Taliworks to buy and the vendor to sell is there," he noted.

Silk is the concession holder for the 37km Kajang Traffic Dispersal Ring Road (Kajang Silk Highway). It has a 33-year concession to operate and maintain the highway. The concession period ends on July 31, 2037.

May be we can propose

1) Convert the current entry point into exit point to Silk, it do away the traffic lights, lesser jam expected (green arrow)

2) Exit point to Sg Long opposite Honda show room (pink arrow)

3) Second entry point to Silk opposite furniture shop (red arrow)

I think only GS can do so if the deal through and he wants to, can divert traffic, no need to pay compensation and money is no problem for them.

If GS become SILK owner, he may have incentive to divert some traffic to Silk, hope it materialise.

Besraya RM2.00 while GS RM1.30, to go Besraya is longer in distance and need to pay expensive toll

Anyway I pass by the tunnel today, seem it will delay again 

MRT in fact on schedule or little bit ahead of schedule, phase 1 should be complete by end of year and in operation early 2017, however Cheras/Kajang not in phase 1
