I never think BTHO traffic is better than Sg Long but they have more choices eg to enter BTHO you can choose to exit at BMC/BTHO junction which is jam for sure on top of paying RM1.30 or enter via Cheras Sentral Plaza pass by Tmn road toll free or enter via Silk but jam if in rush hour.
*
BTOH got alot of inner road can go, if you know it well....it is connected with alot of taman from balakong up to connough, bt 9 and 11. But, the jam is still there at those exit / entrance points during peak hours.....

11 out of 21 teachers in SJK C Sg Long are transferred from SJK C Batu 11, will be more come next year according to my neighbour who also teaches in Batu 11, the students will adjust faster with familiar teachers it shall solve the worry of the parents. Consider the distance and convenience, I forsee more parents will transfer their kids next year.

By then, good luck to SL6 residents, more jam in the morning for good cause. biggrin.gif

BMC take how long let say from UTAR Sg Long to GS Highway?
*
that is suggestion to highburybaby only, highburybaby stay in BMC rite?

If stay in Sg Long, better go via sg long exit, otherwise will cause more traffic jam at BMC exit.....just my personal view.....

Assuming the traffic conditions are almost the same for both route Sg Long & BMC, if you are drive a normal sedan car, the mileage should be around 10-12km/L, so it is worth to bypass toll as ur car can go extra 8km - 10km (based on Ron 95 price at RM1.60).

In fact, BMC route shorter by 1+km compare with Jln Sg Long, however the jam conditions is simply too bad I rather pay toll.

After acquisition will Taliworks divert some traffic from GS Highway to Silk Highway via Jalan Sg Long (ie build new exit) towards Balakong direction?

Taliworks close to sealing deal to acquire Silk
http://www.thesundaily.my/news/1797275
PETALING JAYA: Water and infrastructure company Taliworks Corp Bhd is closer to concluding its deal to buy Silk Holdings Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary Sistem Lingkaran-Lebuhraya Kajang Sdn Bhd (Silk) within the next few months.

Speaking to reporters after the company's AGM and EGM here yesterday, Taliworks chief investment officer Kevin Chin Soong Jin said both parties are in discussions on pricing, given that traffic volume has come down after a toll rate increase last October.

"We expect this acquisition to conclude in the next few months ... the outcome is favourable. The motivation for Taliworks to buy and the vendor to sell is there," he noted.

Silk is the concession holder for the 37km Kajang Traffic Dispersal Ring Road (Kajang Silk Highway). It has a 33-year concession to operate and maintain the highway. The concession period ends on July 31, 2037.

In your view, at which point to build the exit point from Jln Sg Long?

May be we can propose

1) Convert the current entry point into exit point to Silk, it do away the traffic lights, lesser jam expected (green arrow)

2) Exit point to Sg Long opposite Honda show room (pink arrow)

3) Second entry point to Silk opposite furniture shop (red arrow)

I think only GS can do so if the deal through and he wants to, can divert traffic, no need to pay compensation and money is no problem for them.
*
It is good idea with minimum cost...but i dont think GS will do it....it will cut their toll revenue at bt 11 tol, it may benefit to besraya highway instead.....?

If GS become SILK owner, he may have incentive to divert some traffic to Silk, hope it materialise.
*
divert traffic may not be the priority agenda, but return of investment for sure is yes....... cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

Besraya RM2.00 while GS RM1.30, to go Besraya is longer in distance and need to pay expensive toll hmm.gif
*
looking at the bad jam in Bt 9, longer route and higher toll could be better option....anyhow, MMC-Gamuda construction work should be finishing by this 22 May 2016? if yes, it should reduce the traffic at that area...

i checked back my post in v4 (dated Feb 18 2016), so far no updated media release in this matter.......

MMC-GAMUDA media release - TRAFFIC ANNOUNCEMENT on 6 February 2016:

There will be a continuation of a long-term partial lane closure stretching at approximately
150m at the left lane of the underpass daily from Kajang towards East West Link Expressway
from 6 February 2016 - 22 May 2016.
During this closure, one lane will be made available to motorists from Kajang heading towards
the East-West Link Expressway. This closure is necessary to facilitate the construction of the
pedestrian bridge to the future MRT Taman Connaught Station.

MRT in fact on schedule or little bit ahead of schedule, phase 1 should be complete by end of year and in operation early 2017, however Cheras/Kajang not in phase 1  sad.gif
