Applied this card by pledging FD since my income cannot hit the minimum.
Been almost 2 weeks since I submitted the application at Maybank branch but still being processed.

I thought Maybank is usually quite fast in cc approval.

I am wondering how long does it take for those with pledge FD experience for this card?

30k - current credit limit.

Just got email from Maybank stating that my card has been approved and CL increased to 30k.
Application was submitted on 19 April, which makes it less than 2 weeks.

In my case, Maybank did not call me for any verification.

Hopefully I get the MUVI card as the form I filled has that option.

For annoying telemarketing calls problem, write an email to the respective banks and ask to be removed from call list.

No impact for boost from what I can read.
But what is the impact to Jompay I wonder. Some Jompay are non utilities/Gov

This card was introduced before all the ewallet craze and MBB was doing just fine.
Doubtful that card cancellation for M2P gonna make any dent at all.

Granted the TP for airmiles was revised, but it is still RM1 = 1 airmiles at best with VISA spend for MUVI (lets not talk about MU winning or losing).

If anyone is up for it, can consider ipaymy which converts your cash spending into CC swipes, VISA/MC only. Charges 1.99% in fees, though buying credits from shopee might be better value.

J class, from calculation, it cuts the cost of the ticket by half. Not worth it.
But F class tickets can be worth around 7-9cents per mile. That might be better value.

Need to check statement periodically.
Lately keep getting shortchanged by KF AMEX card. (2 statements in a row)

Miles awarded in statement does not tally with KF statement.

Probably got glitch going on.

Some of my redeemed points are showing back up, while some of my yet to redeem points are gone.

There are really so many high rollers in M2P/Diamante system until MBB have to come up with limitations like this

UOB VOX was the the first to came up with 5% online transaction. It was really useful back then.

I got TP reversed -200 points


After 8/7, I made 3 transactions to Presto, among others normal transaction (non-governmental)
1 of the transaction was for RM100.

I guess this is the one that got reversed but we will never know for sure.

Anyone tried removing FD pledge before?

I cancelled my M2P due to annual fee charged (spent 80k but not within the alloted time frame). If I remove the pledge, will I still be able to keep my other MBB cards?

I am getting ding donged between MBB card services and the branch where I pledged FD. Card services said I could remove the FD pledge but branch require an official letter. Branch also said they can't remove pledge if they see I have cards with active balances in their system.
