Means for other spending like restaurant, hotel, flight, shopping etc Amex Reserve 2 still pay 5 pts and Visa Infinite 2 pts for local and 5 pts for overseas right? That is, no change at all except those categories listed like petrol, governemnt, education etc. Roughly about 30% treat points "earning power" reduced?

QUOTE(raist86 @ Mar 17 2016, 08:22 AM) Crap... I have close to 10k utilities per month charged to my amex... Guess have to go for cashback card... Any options to recommend? I think no point going for those cash back card and what not to save RM50 or RM100 per month. The value of these card is in the points for miles to enjoy luxurious business or first class travel. Will still stick to Premier 2 cos it is still the best despite cutting and maybank knows it. I just hope other banks will step up and launch an aggressive campaign to wrestle away all those higher limit cards via better miles accrual system. I just dont understand. The margin for credit card debt should be high enough for more competitive packages..but no....so far...all also like shit |

Received a letter from Maybank saying Priority Pass will be discontinued. Plaza Premium Lounge can use 5 times locally plus overseas(singapore, hong kong, shanghai, vancouver, london, macau, india, oman etc) however, no mention of whether supplementary card holder of visa infinite can enter?

QUOTE(jtl @ Apr 1 2016, 10:22 PM) When you guys received your cards, did you receive a welcome kit? What was in it? I received my cards with a brochure detailing the benefits of the M2C Platinum and Gold. No material on the Premier cards at all Could be a mistake? It doesn;t make sense to send brochures of platinum and gold but card is reserve. Might s well dun send. |

QUOTE(limeuu @ Aug 1 2016, 03:22 PM) well....it's still the highest ranked card for mere mortals...diamante is by invitation only, and seriously, those with that don't need credit cards....an assistant will be paying their bills... I think the percentage of income earners at 180k and above not significant. Moreover these people mostly cleared their balances every month so it is actually not lucrative. My opinion only. But then again.... Why have the Diamanté?but yes....was 180k when i joined....now have to share with the hoi polloi...lol Maybe roll out a Goldmante , I can try to apply This post has been edited by aspartame: Aug 1 2016, 03:33 PM |

QUOTE(tishaban @ Aug 25 2016, 01:45 PM) My Premiere card annual fee will hit me in a few days, based on last year's statement it'll be in late August and I'm only at the RM75k range this year since most of my normal spend is on other cards. May I know why you charge most of your spending to other cards but yet you say Premiere's earning potential is good?Tempted to cancel because I'm annoyed at Maybank's attitude but the earning potential is far too lucrative... |

QUOTE(bearbear @ Oct 25 2016, 07:31 PM) miles if you fly long haul, on promo business class redemption you can get like 10-20% in cash equivalent. The rough 10% to 20% equivalents you are referring to if we redeem Enrich miles or Krisflyer miles or other miles or they are also roughly the same?but it meant nothing if you don't redeem. |

QUOTE(limeuu @ Nov 10 2016, 08:52 AM) on the other hand, enrich redemption to japan requires minimal cash upfront, whereas kf jq is crazy.... It would be great if you could post the exact surcharge for Enrich vs KF for the Japan route together with the miles and see which is better... I don't have KF account ...thanksstill undecided whether to take advantage of the 10% bonus miles... |

QUOTE(dctravels @ Nov 10 2016, 12:36 PM) Option 1: Enrich I registered a KF account just to check things out. I found that the miles required are 80,000 (after discount 68,000) ONE way for Tokyo. Return is 136,000 miles. How do you get 68,000 return or am I missing something here??? And, any difference in seats at all between saver and standard cos the miles required are almost double for standard.Routing: KUL-NRT-KUL Enrich Miles required: 110,000 Tax + Fees: MYR 170 GST: MYR3.90 Option 2: Krisflyer Routing : KUL-SIN-NRT-SIN-KUL Krisflyer Miles required: 68,000 Taxes & surcharges: MYR 901.90 Option 3: Krisflyer Routing : SIN-NRT-SIN (get your own LCC positioning flight to SIN) Krisflyer Miles required: 68,000 Taxes & surcharges: SGD 157.70 EDIT: I think I got it. Eventhough the 80,000 (68,000) is for return. Pretty confusing because they show 68,000 to and then 68,000 back but when you click to choose the dates, the summary show 2 flights and total 68,000 miles. Just a quick question: if I book the sin-tokyo and wait list the tokyo-sin but assume I failed to get the wait list, is the whole trip cancelled and the points returned? QUOTE(db07mufan @ Nov 11 2016, 06:58 PM) guys, has anyone done prepayment before via email. How safe is it. It is quite common but I have only done it with local insurance company which I trust. You have to see how trust worthy that organisation is .I am getting a few pieces of luggages from Germany, picking it up on January. The vendor said to prebook it i'll need to prepay it. It'll require my credit card number + expiry + name via email. I've done payment on the phone, but not this. Is it safe? |
