Hi there,all sifus.
I’m interested in using Airmiles to redeem business class tickets and I understand that this is the best cc to do it.

I read GenX GenY GenZ’s page and am amazed by his trips.

But when I tried clicking the tutorial, it’s password protected,so I’m stuck.

Want to start learning how to do it step by step and slowly accumulate the Airmiles that I need.

Hope sifus here can provide a guide for a newbie like me.

Another thing is how do you guys spend 80k per year to get the annual fee waiver?

Reload using BigPay and use BigPay to pay for your insurance etc. This will maximise your TPs earned (2-5x rather just 1x for insurance)

As for the RM80k annual spending, most of us here do spend alot and also consolidate expenses into this card. For other ways, u can use BigPay. Go read up on it...

Thanks for the info. I’ve read about bigpay, but didn’t find info about using it to maximize my TPS.
Mind to elaborate? thanks

RM 4 cents/mile is very basic
A lot here redeem more than 10 cents/mile

After spending some time reading info about this mbb premier card and MUVI, May I know majority here hold which card?

I’m still undecided which card to apply for.

AMEX can’t top up bigpay, but comes with 5X tp.
MUVI can top Up bigpay, and we pray MU wins to get the 5X tp. icon_question.gif hmm.gif hmm.gif

That's why it's called Maybank 2 Premier. You get TWO cards. You get the best of both worlds.
1. Amex = 5x TP, use at whichever merchants allows Amex. Plus e-wallets such as Boost & GrabPay (which I love and try to use as much as possible.. not only you get 5x TP at merchants which doesn't accept Amex, you get lots of rewards and in app cashback).
2. MUVI = 2x / 5x TP, use wherever else that doesn't accept Amex. Try use as much on match days when MU is playing in the Premier League (and hopefully wins), and top up to Big Pay when MU wins.

3. Pair with BigPay. Once you've topped up using MUVI, pay for things like utilities, government bodies, insurance / other non-Amex spending using BigPay (to pseudo-earn 5x TP), or you could even withdraw cash from ATM.

_______________

Btw, as an aside, apart from using BigPay, does anyone know what is the best credit card for paying utilities & government bodies?

Tq so much for your info.

Seem like I have to chose between the premier and MUVI,can’t hold both cards as I won’t be able to spend RM160k per year biggrin.gif

Hi guys, just got my m2p cards.

1. Will be overseas soon and wonder should I use Amex and MUVI overseas to get the 5tp and pay the 2.5% conversion fee? Worth it?

2. This is my first time using air miles card. So if I travel to Europe, enrich or Krisflyer better? Or it depends on which country I go?

Thank you guys.

If MUVI and AMB WMC which conversion rate is better? Gonna apply for 1 card for overseas spending... previously used VI the rate is.... pain bangwall.gif
I don't quite get you...? aren't we looking for the best card for utility? if compare HLB visa infinite & CIMB enrich world elite for utility spending, ofcuz HLB visa infinite is better..... you don't have to pay that 1.2k annual fee if you can't meet 1mil spending for CIMB enrich world elite.

Basic calculation/comparison assuming RM1,000,000 utilities/year

HLB visa infinite
RM2.8/1EM= 357,142EM
no annual fee

CIMB Enrich World Elite
First 300k RM2/1EM = 150,000EM
subsequent 700k RM4/1EM = 175,000EM
Total = 325,000EM
Free annual fee upon 1MIL spending, and what if you can't meet the 1mil spending.....?

So basically CIMB Enrich world elite shouldn't be on the radar at the first place...........  blink.gif

Since m2p is only giving 1tp for utilities and insurance, I’m also looking for another card to earn miles for those payment.

Citibank PM’s conversion rate is RM4.50 for 1 mile with RM600 af (cannot be waived?) while HLB visa infinite is RM2.80 for 1 mile with no annual fee.

If that is the case, hlb VI the best option for those 2 categories, and I can also top up my e-wallet as well smile.gif

Need clarification

If I buy something online and pay in foreign currency, is it considered as overseas spending and I get 5tp using my MUVI?

Good afternoon guys.

I plan to fly to New York in 2-3years in business class, need some advice.

1.roughly how many miles are needed for enrich & Krisflyer ya?

2. I have around 7k electricity bills to pay monthly. Should I pay with m2p (even tough only 1tp is given) ? Or go with hlb vi that gives me RM2.8/ enrich mile for utilities?

3. If I need to redeem tickets with miles, do I need to do it like 1 year before the actual flight? I believe the seats are limited and it will be redeemed very fast

I understand that SIA has better experience, but I don’t mind flying with MAS if I do not have enough miles to fly with SIA.

Thanks guys.

SIA required 198k miles to NY for biz class, but base on ur spending 7k on utilities, even after 3yrs is still way insufficient.... u only get 1.555miles/7k spending on utilities.. so u have to find other expenses to topup

Enrich routes are very limited and I don’t think they fly to NY either
*
If SIA is the better option, then I’ll still pay my utilities with m2p.

I have other expenses that can earn 2 or 5 tp, utilities is the part that I’m still undecided.

Good afternoon guys.

Anyone can assist on my 3rd question on the redemption period? You can share your experience for redeeming flight to Europe as well, not necessarily New York.

Thank you so much smile.gif
