Anyone able to intro his/her RM to assist with the application? (located in Klang Valley) As I understand not everyone is aware of the FD pledge method, so not every branch can/ will assist.

Interesting, I understand that the taxes and fees enrich charges for flights to Japan is insane (almost rm2k for the fees and surcharge alone if I’m not mistaken)

From what I understand, don’t think this is possible. FD pledge cannot be used to topup your CL provided from your income source for a current card.

Whether or not you will be able to topup your CL via FD pledge tagged to a new card, this I’m not too sure.

With TnG eWallet official shop ceasing to sell the eWallet reload pin on Lazada, any other method/ platform that we’re able to use Amex to purchase the eWallet reload pin?

I believe most if not all members here that received the upgrade email offer are current Maybank 2 Premier cardholders.

I’ve phone up the hotline given and was told that to be eligible to apply for the Amex plat card still need to meet the income requirement. However the CS told me to wait for the marketing team to call back to advise further after sending in the SMS that you’re interested to upgrade.

I’ve sent in the SMS and currently awaiting their marketing team to reach out to me.

To me, it defeats the purpose of sending out the general upgrade email to all members if MBB did not take into consideration that not all M2P cardholders will be eligible for the Amex plat min income requirement since it’s almost 2x the income requirement for M2P.

Since you’re converting to Enrich, and if you only want one card, can consider the Ambank Enrich VI for both overseas and local spend, or the HLB VI for local spend (as the overseas earn rate isn’t that good compared to the Ambank card).

The headache now is for those who wants KF miles looking to supplement the Amex KF card.

Mind to share how did you derive RM4:1 mile for local & RM1:1 mile for foreign currency?

I understand you earn 8x BP for foreign currency and 2x BP for local spend, which translates to RM1.875:1 mile for foreign currency and RM7.5:1 mile for local.

Note that 15,000BP = 1,000 KF Miles

It counts, but if you think about it, you’ll still be paying rm800 (1% of rm80k) in fees to topup the eWallet, unless you’re topping up Shopee pay.

However, it does make sense if you use it as a filler where you’re short by abit to hit the 80k spending.
