Hi, am I right to assume that the the foreign exchange rate Vs myr is better with the visa instead of Amex?

So when overseas say Europe, it is best to only use visa? What about the TP per ringgit spent?

One is the exchange rate, another is that all foreign transaction gives us 5x TP so definitely only use VISA

RM is fluctuating very much recently, everyday has different rate
However don't be surprised that Amex may fetch a lower rate
Do try more and compare the exchange rate

For my recent trip, MBB VI quite standard 2.25%
Amex keep fluctuating, sometimes as low as 1%, sometimes as high as 2.5%

From now until end of 2023, if you qualify, cimb travel world elite cc is the best with 1 mile for RM1 spent for almost everything

For existing m2p holders like us, we still keep the card, and use Amex whenever possible to hit the RM80k to waive annual fee

finally got my airmiles redeemed, after having 2 computers and 1 phone, harassing their cs and treatpoints website！
I got my phone standby calling CS but no one answering!
1st computer logon to treatpoint website at 12:00am and keep trying to redeem and it says out of stock!
used my 2nd computer and keep trying and finally one of the computers got it through but guest what, unsuccessful after keyed in TAC.

After at least 7 times attempt, finally got the green words "Successful"! and got my receipt!
Thank god!
I can now cancel my maybank card and will never join them again!

please take note that it won't immediately deduct your points and your airmiles won't be reflected immediately.  I'm still waiting.  But at least i got the receipt.
