hello all, greetings! i recently received my m2p cards 2 weeks ago, i applied solely for the increased airmile conversion. side note : i should have read this forum first to try and get the 100,000tp special promotion! i apply already then only read, wasted :/

anyway, i have activated my amex and i find it useful as most places around my area can use amex - groceries, petronas, big pharmacy, etc.

when i received my cards, i didn't get a product disclosure brochure, just the normal activation guide. i went to maybank websites to read all about it and also went to 1u maybank card center to enquire the staffs. the staff there didnt instill confidence ( i think she is new coz she had to phone in and ask the features ) and the website is quite ambiguous.

thus, im still thinking if i should change my (yet to be activated) VI to MUVI. so far i know all the features are the same, except that MUVI (benefits not related to MU merchandise platform) has 5x tp on groceries local spend all week, it also mentions 5x tp IF MU wins and also MUVI loses 5% cashback for weekends i think, but im ok with that since im gunning for airmiles.

so i'd like to ask :-

1) if MU wins, means our groceries spending is 10x tp within the win day limit? has anyone confirmed this? did i miss the post or could anyone kindly point it out to me? because the website didn't say earn additional tp on top of normal 5x grocery.

2) what advantage does VI has over MUVI?

3) is this combo card still the best card to earn airmiles with the recent changes?

Thank you all in advance for the kind replies!

just called maybank. for those who were curious, 5x will be rewarded up to 11.59pm today. points are based on transaction date (as opposed to posting date). still got time to pre-pay for things like telecommunication bills

Petrol will be revised to 2x because it falls under local spending.

btw, anyone can point me where to find more info on concierge services?

Hi all, ive been using 2card premier coming to 3 years now. how i wish i knew about this product when it first came out and also to make the switch to KF Plat when they devalued the points for 2tard premier. alas, it's all water under the bridge now.

i'd like to ask about KF amex platinum. i called customer service to enquire about my MUVI and took the chance to ask about KF amex plat. CS said KF plat annual fee cannot be waived frm 2nd year onwards no matter how much i spend. for context, CS was aware of my spending, say, well above the limit set for premier. im just a bit baffled that they could waive 800 for premier but not 300 for plat. oh well.

anyway, the question i want to ask is would anyone here know how long would the "7,000 bonus KrisFlyer miles on first card spend" points last? i read that the usual points have 3 years expiry date while points awarded from contests (im assuming cc awards too) only lasts 1 year.

thank you in advance for the feedback.

P/S, on the 3rd "Maybank 2 Cards Premier" topic (v3), we might want to remove "Fastest Air Miles Conversion" lol.

The 7000 bonus KF miles will be credited directly to your KF account. Doubt KF program will give different expiry dates- all should be 3 years

Cheers, thanks buddy and happy chinese new year to you.

Hello sifus, I want to convert my TP to air miles for the first time this coming month. How do I link my Krisflyer membership to the Maybank TP redemption? Is it going to ask me for my KF number during checkout?

Hope to dump my M2P soon due to this air miles fiasco, wish I had converted before this whole thing happened.

is there a cap limit on how many points/airmiles can be redeemed per cardholder per month? can we redeem all our points (1million /2 million) points at one go, before the maybank 100m cap is all used up?

Wonderful, thanks for the reply.
I think no individual monthly cap, only the 2 million miles limit annually per person. The overall cap is 100 million per month, so maximum only 50 people can redeem 2 million at one go lol. Hope these points whales have completed their redemption and moved on to better deals by now

thank you for confirming. i looked up maybank's announcement and there wasnt any notice about monthly cap per card holder. thus i was curious. i dont have 2m points so i dont have to worry about the annual redemption lol.

here is the maybank notice if anyone missed :-

Clause 5 of Section VIII Air Miles Redemption:

A cardmember may convert TreatsPoints or Membership Rewards Points up to a maximum of 2,000,000 Air Miles per calendar year regardless of the airline. This includes conversion of TreatsPoints or Membership Rewards Points to Air Miles during any Bonus Miles Campaign(s)* organised by any airline(s).

During any Bonus Miles Campaign*, a customer may convert TreatsPoints or Membership Rewards Points up to 250,000 Air Miles per campaign.

*Bonus Miles Campaign is defined as any campaign(s) organised by any airline(s) that offer Bonus Miles whenever customers convert their bank’s loyalty points into Air Miles.

I think if you managed to spend RM388K over the campaign period there is a good chance for the grand prize.

I am only keeping fingers crossed for the monthly draw....

Strange. no winners announcement at all already July

I've been on the lookout for the announcement as well, but seen none. I'm also hoping for the monthly draw.

ive also have been tracking winners of the 2023 year end campaign. winnners were supposed to go paris Olympic games (and win Mercedes, iphones, amongst others). i found zero clue in 2024 in regards of this contest winners, also messaged maybank in fb but was given the run around over weeks and never got a straight answer from them in the end.

recently this year, i found some random maybank website link announcing the winners, all different prizes were separated into different web-links pdfs and not one single webpage that announces or lists the winners. in the website url,it is written 2025, it is anyone's guess what it could mean. still, i found no winner's list for the "Paris Olympic" prize.

weird or downright shady?
