That one Maybank can’t argue, what they can do maybe is go lhdn report the user, see the tax payment by user is sensible for spending hundred k on luxury goods or not

I used to use a ton load on AMB WMC for overseas transactions. It was a super good card for spending overseas.
1. Firstly, because in the T&C they cap the markup at 1% (i.e. BigPay is 0%, and other credit cards are 2+%).
2. Secondly, it used to be RM1 = 1 Mile, but in Jan this year they devalued the airmiles redemption 40%. Now it's RM1.40 = 1 Airmile.

So I switched to MUVI into BP, but now that is gonna be no longer attractive, have to hunt for what's the next best option.
For those asking about high spending, on AMB WMC, you can spend 6 figures a month no questions asked.
Banks aren't so free to report you, unless they suspect money laundering / suspicious transaction. And they'll report to BNM for high transactions, like the MO1's 2.6B, not LHDN or CCRIS. Your banking information is protected under BAFIA laws, that's why Rafizi got in trouble for leaking bank statements. CCRIS only shows how much credit limit you have, how many percent of that credit limit you've used, and whether you make monthly repayments on time, it doesn't show your monthly spending.

Does topping up to ewallet and pay utilities get points? Is it worth it?

Yup, Citi PM at 4.5:1, not sure whether e-wallet is excluded.

Why is everyone ditching M2P and exploring other cards? M2P Amex + VI is still the best card.
The only thing that has changed recently is the non-award of TP for e-wallet topups. So comparison should just be which other card gives you the best rewards for e-wallet topups (while it lasts)
*
Mostly here use ewallet to the max...

I have pressed for the CS to provide me with a list, and this is the official list which will be excluded from receiving TP/MR/Cashback.

For now they have identified these as E-wallets.

GrabPay Network Sdn Bhd

TNG Digital Sdn Bhd

Alipay (Lazada Wallet Topup)

Measat - Astro Pay

Boost - Axiata Digital

BIGPAY

It was mentioned that they will from time to time add to this list, this is accurate as of now (as of 20th June 2019).

Appreciate it if we could refrain from directly discussing other wallets in this thread

Thank u sir

HSBC VS, not VP. But due to monthly bonus limit, you can't accumulate airmiles fast.

whatever you read, the next best card to replace M2P is UOB VI metal card.
*
Is it by invitational? 4.5:1 kf?

CIMB Enrich World Elite is basically rubbish, capped at RM300k utilities for RM2/1EM, above 300k is RM4/1EM and you need to spend RM1MIL to get annual fee waiver. Better go with HLB Visa infinite if you aim for EM, RM2.8/1EM no annual fee, less hassle less worry.
I will only keep M2P (amex reserve+MUVI), Citi PM (utilities >10k), AMB WMC free annual fee (for overseas spending) if conversion rate capped at 1%

I used my VI for overseas spending and the forex rate really pain in the ass... if i'm using AMB WMC i could save about 10% after conversion. The miles earning is not bad too for RM1.4=1KF/AM, better than forking out extra 10% in cash using MBB VI for RM1=1KF/AM

And I don't keep EM (would not consider any EM credit card), the value is just shitty and Malaysia airlines service is really bad....... i rather transit in SG and enjoy Changi airport & SQ flight or just take Airasia Flatbed for long haul flight. The lounge in changi airport is just awesome compared to KLIA......  doh.gif

In conclusion best overall cc for kf is citi pm at rm4.5:1kf?

I also studying the next card for miles.
Another consideration is HSBC VS.
Earn 5x reward points for every RM1 spend online and participating malls.

Conversion rate to miles:
10,500 reward points = 1,000 EM (RM 2.1 : 1 EM)
15,000 reward points = 1,000 KF/AM (RM 3 : 1 KF/AM)

Donwside is got capped to 5x reward points. Total 5x reward points is capped at 18,750/month. After that only can earn 1x. Please correct me if my study is wrong.
*
I can only spend rm3000 for topup ewallet / pay utilities to get 3:1 kf? Am i correct?

Many years back, one CS told me to overpay my CC(-ve balance) and then utilize it. But that time I requested for small amount temporary increase and I needed it by next day. I end up use different CC.

Unsure Ur situation make sense or not and whether it's possible still.
*
QUOTE(digidigi @ Jul 1 2019, 10:07 PM)
You need check with CS.....
*
CS told me that i can overpay my CC but sometimes the system still consider credit limit of rm30k. So, she does not advise this method.

The reason they rejected my application bcoz im still a new user less than 6 month.

Seems i will just use and then pay straight away.

Lol how much does your income increase? I declare almost double my previous income i only get 5k credit increase sleep.gif . So from 30k to 90k is too absurd.. my friend with over 7digit annual income only gets 150k CL...
*
My monthly income is 90k. No increment for this year LOL...

My current account with maybank has 6 figures.

If they dont want to increase CL its ok, not a big problem. Just a bit hassle lah if i want to buy some big value item.

What else u want to LOL?
