For those dining restaurant that has 50%/40% discount, which one you guys recommend the most?

Arthur's Bar & Grill,
Lemon Garden Café,
Shang Palace, Zipangu

Le Meridien KL
Le Meridien Putrajaya
The Westin KL / The Living Room
Sheraton Imperial KL / Essence
Four Points by Sheraton Puchong / The Eatery
Aloft KL Sentral / Nook
Element KL / Trace Restaurant & Bar

There mention "40% off food and non-alcoholic beverages for Premium Cardmembers". My question is M2Premier AMEX consider premium card?

For lemon grass or other restaurant buffet, what is the duration that we can dine in? I saw dinner is 6.30-10.30pm. Can we dine from 6.30 to 10.30pm? Wanna enjoy the environment as much as possible although already full. hahahaha

thanks in advanced. Wanna bring her out for dinner as today is her birthday. But we don't really like seafood.
*
For Starwood Group (Westin, Sheraton etc), previously M2P was considered premium card hence we got 50% for 2 diners, now already downgraded and only 30%, you might get better deal from places like Fave (but need to wait for timing for a good discount code).

Lemon Garden can dine whole duration, no restriction.

Tried Shang Palace, Lemon Garden, Zipanggu, 5 Senses.
I think all are quite good depending on personal preference.

SC - Liverpool FC deal ends in 2022-2023. So not possible before 5/2023.
*
By that time very likely the bank reward system already gone, or not attractive anymore

I really don't like SQ food, not to say it's really bad, but it's definitely not up to business or first class standard

Well, I have not had any issue with OTP when I'm in overseas.

I guess it is your telco or even your phone problem.
No problem for me whether in Europe or China.

postpaid? roaming enabled?

Postpaid and on roaming.
Guess I'll really need to find out the root cause and solve it.
Sometimes OTP delay for few hours only receive.

Also kena before last time when MU won match but couldn't top up e-wallet due to OTP too (that time still have TP)

I have more than 20 cards. Honestly using hard cash, so far I only paid for MBB FCB VS and HLB AA Plat. The rest all redeemed with points or got rebate from banks.

20 is reasonable for cash back fans la.
Furthermore, she also started into points.

I am not into cash back and surprisingly I do owned ~15 CC, including supp cards for wife.
A few are for lounge access while 2-3 is going to cancel before SST / attempted to cancel but retained by paying for SST.
*
True if playing CB but I really can't imagine managing 20 cards

They have promo code for 1st time users, and also run promotions from time to time. For 1 of my transaction, the fee is about 1.69% (25% off)

- For recurring pmt like house loan, can we time the payment (ie one off payment) or we must set a recurring schedule?
- Are we allowed to pay more than the monthly commitment, ie say if want to pay 1 year?

1. You can pay rental. You can't pay housing loan as far as I understand

2. You need to upload invoice when trying to initiate a payment. The Payee Company/Business registration number is required as well. However, you don't need to wait for pre-approval from ipaymy to make the payment (i.e 'swipe' the card). Probably ipaymy only check the documents when transactions looks suspicious
*
Alright thanks I'll just check it out

ipaymy charge your card immediately, then will pay your supplier in 1 week time.
Kindly take note their server timezone is UTC, so pls check UTC date as well when you are making payment on ipaymy.
I remember someone reported that transaction date is different in M2U due to the timezone different, gotta submit dispute.
*
Happened to me before also on other online platform, Maybank showed wrong transaction date (I spent in the afternoon they showed the next day). After complained they asked me to prove it, luckily I got sms with date, but they're taking forever to revert

Nope. MBB is pretty conservative when it comes to CL.
That said I'm blessed to have higher than 30k for MBB. laugh.gif

Each time I submit request to increase CL they increased 5k, maybe really need to submit 10 times haha

I think your consistency of high spending n payment record gained you the high CL.

Well I got another experience was like, I throw in 100k fd against my credit card CL. After one year I apply for withdrawal of fd and review new CL by submitting new income document. Which the income document is merely the same as previously. By right the CL should minus 100k after fd withdrawal but they just reduce 50k from my total CL.

Hence another kind of upgrading CL experience. I am not sure about this is just lucky or bank mistake.
*
I'm not sure the key criterion used, probably income like some mentioned, but definitely not high spending and payment.
I've very high spending and I pay on time, but low credit limit

There is an article from Sg travel / CC blogger regarding this 1 or 2 months ago.
Of course only Sg cards listed.
Surprisingly some CC do extend the coverage for redemption ticket.

I didn't really go into very detail for Maybank policy / t&c, similarly I doubt redemption ticket is covered.
Most of the bank will have clause "full ticket price purchased with xx CC", you may not eligible if you use AirAsia Big Points to offset RM10 from your ticket???

Did call MBB CS some time ago to ask about insurance stuff.
He gave me very unconvincing answers.
A few highlights to take note: Family = you + spouse + kids below age xx.
Parents, brothers etc are NOT included as family!
For flight delay / baggage delay, you need to spend on essential and claim back from CC, whereas travel insurance will give you one lump sum.
Hence it is best to purchase separate travel insurance.
*
I'll always buy travel insurance too, and yes delays you need to spend and claim back (it's quite clear in the tnc), but I not sure if they impose any "reasonable" amount, ie if say max is RM 800, can I say spend RM 800 on lunch and claim back the max limit.

I've read many times before, if not mistaken not that clear if redemption or partial pmt is allowed but my interpretation is not allowed, but I'll try to search more when have time, as most of my travel are all redemption ticket.

Thanks for sharing.

Think this is the article charles was referring to:
https://milelion.com/2019/09/28/which-credi...avel-insurance/

That's for Sg, but it gives you an idea of the wordings to look for in your own insurance policy.

Thanks will read it up
