I just saw my TP balance in M2U increased by roughly 3x of the amount that I swipe during MU-Fulham game

Otherwise, just wait for monthly statement where they list the TP earned separately. But usually this will be for older swipe since they can take 2-4 weeks to credit the bonus TP

not all merchants accept Amex

The other card is for you to enter PPL as well. Amex card itself doesn't have lounge access

Always follow UK local kick-off date. So yesterday game, only 26 Dec transactions will get 5x.

There’s no 100% confirmation till Feb when games kick off at 10pm (MY time)

I applied thru online on Friday and the staff called me the next Mon or Tuesday. It can be very fast.

I would think a bank CC department key KPI will be on mainly of no. of users and amount spending. In order words, total CC spending and how this is a % market share of total CC spending in MY

TP is just the loyalty program to achieve that. And since Maybank customer base is so huge, I doubt they worry about a small subset of their CC users (i.e. MU VI users) getting the additional 3x TP. And they already been giving 5x for AMEX anyway

The only thing to watch out for is the next round of TP devaluation....probably by 2020 when Visa/Mastercard interchange fees are cut further from around 0.93% to 0.48% by 1st Jan 2021.....
