Assuming miles in $ value, both about the same then. But one is the famed QSuites.
What about availability? Which easier to get?
*
Qatar Airways seems to have more availability. Though only the 9.35am flight have Q-suites (out of the 3 daily flights to Doha?)

For Turkish Airlines, not all the dates I search have availability on Business class

FYI, search dates I used are around Apr/May 2020

Need 70k miles more then I can book Business class return for 2pax

hi all, ive never redeemed any miles at all. since the maybank is revising the redemption. kindly need your advise . i have roughly close to 800k tp for redemption, which airline would be best to redeem to japan, syd or hk.

looked through asiamiles seems all business flights need 100k miles at least, enrich to japan about 68k correct me if i am wrong.

please help thanks.
*
enrich 68k obviously not business... (or maybe just 1-way business)

How is the AF waiver for Citi PM? I've been seeing them being a hardass for the past year on charging AF. Thinking of applying for HSBC VS for lounge access since its not only limited to local, but also Changi.
*
I applied for it last year and it comes with 3-year annual fee waived

Hi there,all sifus.
I’m interested in using Airmiles to redeem business class tickets and I understand that this is the best cc to do it.

I read GenX GenY GenZ’s page and am amazed by his trips.

But when I tried clicking the tutorial, it’s password protected,so I’m stuck.

Want to start learning how to do it step by step and slowly accumulate the Airmiles that I need.

Hope sifus here can provide a guide for a newbie like me.

Another thing is how do you guys spend 80k per year to get the annual fee waiver?

Just put all insurance and standing instructions into the VI.
*
Reload using BigPay and use BigPay to pay for your insurance etc. This will maximise your TPs earned (2-5x rather just 1x for insurance)

As for the RM80k annual spending, most of us here do spend alot and also consolidate expenses into this card. For other ways, u can use BigPay. Go read up on it...

Not sure if this old news or not. Flyer miles points have been revised:

5000 treat points = 1000 enrich or krisflyer. (Effective1 June)

Going to cancel and go for cimb enrich card. This is silly.
*
CIMB Enrich just slightly better at RM2 spend per Enrich miles (capped at 150k miles a year)

Where else Maybank VI is RM2.50 local spend per mile (AM, KF, EM). On Amex, the 5x TP still better at RM1.00 local spend per mile

let's say the Man U winning match ends at 11pm local time - so there's only 1 hour window for the 5x points?
*
I suppose you refer to local MY time.

No, it's not 1-hr window. Any transaction that falls on the winning date (follow UK date/time) will be eligible for 5x

What we refer as window in this thread is because a lot of us use BigPay to topup - which is a way for us to consolidate expenses/spending on the days MU is having PL matches and likely to win. So for some games that we can know the results before midnight, we can 100% sure of 5x TP (i.e. MU wins) when doing topup (or whatever spending you can do within that window)

For matches that end after midnight (MY time), you have to take a gamble...

Boost and BigPay under same MCC?

If not, BigPay still got hope.

Also, since Maybank specifically mention third-party wallet, maybe this is also a move by them to promote their own QR-Pay or e-wallet in the future

Did comparison of some of the better cards recommended in this thread. I already have the first 4 cards. Prob need to apply for HLB VI, though it's only Enrich. If you don't want to limit yourself to Enrich, then go for Citi PM 4.50:1

Thx for the analysis.

Finally my Citi PM has some uses. Applied it to get free gift from Comparehero previously...

Since a lot of cards already slashing their cashback, think it's better now to focus on TP.

Mine is M2P, and when I apply for a supplementary card for my wife a few months ago, I only get the MU VI supplementary.

Should be possible to get another sub card under Amex?

I also weird. Coz I do application through my online M2U account. and probably there's an option to choose 1 and not both?

Can't exactly remember the process.

just wondering how do you folks hit 80k a year (that's 6k+ a month)

I cancelled 2 years ago because of 1) TP devaluatoin 2) can't hit 80k
*
Getting married this year, so need to spend quite a lot actually

And me and my wife are consolidating every of our spending.

From time to time, use my card to help my parent pay for big-ticket items

Aiks, I didn’t realise boost wallet can withdraw to your bank account lol.
Can utilise it like BP then, damn I really am too late to make use of it.
Is there any charges when withdrawing boost wallet into your bank account? Usually how long does it take to credit into your account?

I’ll have 5 days worth to top up 1.5k x 5 and withdraw some back to account...
*
QUOTE(digidigi @ Jul 3 2019, 12:57 PM)
Rm2 per 1500 withdraw, one month max 4500 withdraw, if u perform 1500 withdraw today, most likely u won’t be able able to make another withdraw before 7 July, but u can perform another top up right after withdraw
*
You can.

Just add different bank accounts, and you can withdraw without waiting for the 1st withdrawal to be completed
