Just received the Rimowa for last year's Competition. It took a while to receive though. Maybank sure knows how to rewards their members. smile.gif

Yup. Its from this campaign: Maybank Rimowa

I was surprised when Maybank CS called me. Thought it was a prank. Haha

Wah 4 months consecutively and 200 randomized winners. You must be very lucky biggrin.gif
*
Not lucky. Just spend too much. If I remember correctly, those months I spent over RM100k monthly.

QUOTE(knwong @ Mar 22 2019, 02:58 PM)
Congrats. Why is it not the iconic aluminum type case?
*
Yeah that's what I kept hoping but the campaign poster already showed the plastic version instead of the aluminum iconic so accept la. Something better than nothing. Haha

Free gift ma... Im sure they will just give those less popular ones where they have plenty of stocks  biggrin.gif

Those iconic ones sure can sell
*
Surely it's bought cheaply in a bulk from Rimowa. The iconic version should reserve for even higher spending.

Not sure if its based 100% from total spending when they choose the winners but they did mention randomized winners. But anyways you get something good on top of your spending biggrin.gif
*
Yup, it's a bonus. So definitely can't complain about it. Hopefully got more achievable campaigns in future. The exotic watch campaign I definitely don't have hope.

By the way, is the 40% discount for 2 diners at Westin available again? Or is it still stuck at 20%?

40% according to this page: https://www.maybank2u.com.my/maybank2u/mala...ds_premier.page
I supposed that's for two diners though not specified.
*
Back in January, Westin only gave 20%. When I called Maybank CS, they said new agreement not yet signed with Westin eventhough website said 40%. Anyone tried it lately?

Off topic, but some people here know how to spend 😁, No, you can't get BKC on the spot unless you’re daughter of Somebody or an artist family. Paris London is the worst, you’re behind a few hundred people’s on the list.
*
I was in Paris Hermes HQ last year. Forget about buying anything. A long line of ladies with exotic Birkin and Kelly was standing around like beggars just to be ignored by the SA. They even refused my last appointment request. I went to their other branch which is the 2nd largest store in the world. Had to spend on clothes, basic handbags, small bags and charms, then only offer to sell me the latest colour Lindey. After that, then ask me to come the next day to offer me a Kelly. Lots of work and money spent just to get their top tier bags. It was fun while it lasted and I kept my relationship with them. Dont ever want to go through it again.

Plus point, I earned a lot of TP from that trip. Haha

I went to all stores in London last week and they want to put me on the list if I want Kelly/Constance, there is no timeframe when I can get a bag, 1-3 years depending on the skin/color Togo/Epson, etc. I heard there is a better chance to get on the spot without begging at Hermes Ginza.
*
For Hermes Ginza, I busted that myth. I was there a few months ago. Same thing. Lots of China tourist visiting just to get a Birkin or Kelly, all with no luck. You still need to play "the game" before they would bring out the top tier bags. Hermes implemented similar policies all over the world. Otherwise, a lot of "daigous" will quickly jump in to profit on resale market.

Thanks for sharing, mind to share how much you spend before they offer u a lindy ?
*
I spent about RM 70k before they brought out the Lindy. My estimate is that they need us to spend about RM 100k before a B/K is offered. By the time I finished with 3 large bags, the store's senior manager even specially appeared to thank me and to help call for a car for me. Delivery straight to hotel for free was even offered in Paris. Now that I've gained the relationship, the SA is constantly emailing me about my next trip and asking me about the next bags I'm interested in. Better buy as much as possible without needing to play around anymore.

u dont need to spend much to get a lindy, some of the store do offer lindy directly to u,

just for kelly, bkc, constance, u probably need to spend 1:1 ratio or 1:1.5 to get, but they said for Paris (HQ) is the easiest place to score 1 without spending too much
*
Yes, I noticed other customers who walked in, they were also offered a Lindy. The difference between myself and what they got was the colours. They were offered black and grey. While I got a Rose Azalea which was more sought after. My SA whispered to me that those common colours are for available anytime but not the one he got me. True enough, the other customers saw mine and wanted it too but was rejected.

As for ratio, 1:1 is about right even for the branch I went at Rue De Sevres. Spending in Paris is better than KL, is definitely about the 5 times TP we get and more choices. Let's get back to our M2P topics now shall we? Haha

I just came back from Japan and I made a call to Maybank Premier line before I flew off. I called around 10.00 p.m. and my flight was on the next day's 2.00 p.m., I asked for CL temporary increase and they granted me before I arrived in Japan. The CS was so kind to extend the period for 3 months despite my trip was only 15 days. Good job Maybank!
*
Agree! You can really trust them during travel matters. Our MBB Premier Card Centre is really efficient. They granted me permanent increase to RM150k. Now at least I don't need to keep using and paying off to use again. I think I am just biased towards MBB at the moment. Haha

In my case, I do all of my banking with MBB. From property to car loans with financial products. Total AUM RM 2M+. However, just a few years ago they did start me off with RM 40k. It was only last year after I increased my assets under MBB that they offered me the new CL as I have spending over RM 100k a month consistently on M2P for over 2 years.

I would say a good payment record, income statement and how much you are letting MBB manage your wealth is what determines their CL decision.

Temporary increase also has a limit. If you are rejected, then request for a lower amount. Their system has created a profile of each card holder and set how much credit they are trusting us with. A very conservative number.
