Hello.

If I'm currently holding MBB VI (one card only)...and if I were to apply for the AMeX Reserve later, does that mean I will have MBB 2 Cards Premier?

Or do I haveto cancel this VI and reapply both cards together?

Noob here
*
Premier come in pair, no standalone Amex Reserve

So yes you will hold 2 VI but for annual fee waiver you need to meet 50k + 80k spending

In the list of transaction, there will be an Annual Fee charge RM800 and the GST. I just got charged yesterday, followed by an auto rebate of annual fee.

I think your card should be issued since September and the annual cycle should be fall into September as well for each year since your expiry month is on September. Correct me if I'm wrong.

If you have the option of paying utilities bills using Amex but incur additional 3%, would you do it?

No won't do it. Sometime they offer rebate on auto debit this one want to charge extra pulak. Wonder what utilities company is this?

most likely is 3rd party vendor that allow AMEX and not directly with the utilities company

I think my threshold would be 1%, that would be roughly the cost of converted air miles value for me.

It's my company haha.. I'm just wondering if anyone would still pay with 3% surcharge. Integration with Ipay88 - a 3% transaction fee for Amex,Visa,Master.

Better use Shopee if that desperate.

3% is to much sadly.

It all depends...

What is the amount involved? Do you already have a destination/redemption in mind? Are you just short of x amount of miles that this transaction would cover? Don't want to go too much into this for fear of being accused of going out of topic (go to the frequent flyer thread).

Nothing beats the AMEX for local spend. Period. I would use it whenever I can, even paying surcharge sometimes.

Hi,

I was trying to apply online and somehow got rejected. A week later someone with xxx@maybank.com contacted me asking me to manually apply with them through email.

I am wondering if this xxx@maybank.com is one of their official email or scam email? Anyone got experience this before? It is not their usual yyy@maybank.com.my domain.

i just got same email just now. The person even call me, asking me to submit the form and documents by today. Felt suspicious about it hmm.gif

should I do it?
