Based on the latest TreatPoints revision, do I still get 5 X TreatPoints, if I pay Maxis bill, electricity bill and TMNet Streamyx bill with Maybank 2 Card American Express, on M2U Online website?

Huh ? How is that so ? More and more merchants would gladly accept AMEX in Malaysia as the interchange fee is now capped at 1.10%, down from 2.50% to 5% before the new policy came into effect.
*
That is the fact that most of us in this credit card thread are fully aware of.

Then again, some merchants are still oblivious of this fact and still wrongly believe that fee of accepting AMEX credit cards is way higher than of VIsa and MasterCard credit cards.

Besides the obvious Maybank credit card terminal, the credit card terminal from CIMB, RHB, Public Bank and UOB (with proper tagging to AMEX network) can accept AMEX credit cards.

Could it be that the cost of having the credit card terminal that can accept AMEX credit cards is higher than the ones that can only accept VIsa and MasterCard credit cards? Perhaps, that can explain the reluctance for some merchants to accept AMEX credit cards.

most banks have about 2 days grace period after due date.

If the payment is made on the second day after the payment due date, is the payment record in CCRIS still shown as 0?

If the payment is made from the third day onwards after the payment due date, is the payment record in CCRIS shown as 1?

This way you are not enjoying the benefit of 20-day free interest period. It is not the best way when you can earn more interest in other ways.

You are referring to Maybank e-GIA-I, right? smile.gif

I asked Maybank Customer Support whether Maybank will introduce contactless credit cards. Well, this is her answer, but we may take it with a pinch of salt, since it is unverified information.

She said that only Visa Credit Cards from Maybank will have Visa Paywave. So, MasterCard and American Express Credit Cards from Maybank will not have MasterCard Contactless, and ExpressPay respectively. That is too bad for any of us, who have MasterCard and American Express Credit Cards from Maybank. sad.gif

Does anyone here have verified information on contactless credit cards from Maybank? Thanks for the information. smile.gif

Thanks, cybpsych.

Anyway, I hope that there is no harm in sending a suggestion to Maybank Customer Support, hoping that they can implement MasterCard Contactless, and ExpressPay in MasterCard and American Express Credit Cards from Maybank respectively.

I am sure that most of you are familiar with 'HammerHead' contactless credit card readers, which are commonly found in Aeon and AeonBig outlets.

Oher than obviously Visa Paywave, do 'HammerHead' contactless credit card readers accept MasterCard Contactless? hmm.gif The website said so.

Has anyone tried tapping MasterCard Contactless credit / debit cards, on 'HammerHead' contactless credit card readers?

How much TP to redeem RM20 voucher?
*
8000 points. Same conservation rate at 400 points = RM 1, so it is nothing special.

If I am not mistaken, at Maybank Treatsfair last year (which was held after point inflation), we could redeem at previous rate of 250 points = RM 1.

Nope. I have redeemed before RM 10 for McD's and RM 20 AEON vouchers using TP. Did that in Maybank KLCC and The Gardens. smile.gif

I could be wrong. But, I thought that in Maybank Card centres, we can redeem Aeon vouchers with only every 40000 points (= RM 100 Aeon vouchers), and redemptions at every 8000 points (= RM 20 Aeon vouchers) can be done during special occasions, which is Maybank Treatsfair.

fruitie sis,

I missed out your points. tongue.gif

So, the good thing about Maybank Treatsfair is that minimum Aeon vouchers that can be redeemed is much lower at RM 20, than the usual RM 100.

For Parkson voucher, would we able to change RM10 @ the outlet itself or it's only available at Treatsfair?  hmm.gif

You can redeem RM 10 Parkson Voucher, only at Treatsfair.

Not really. Are you aware of any American Express credit card with ExpressPay, issued in Malaysia?
