It has been a very long time since I got the dining cashback with the Maybank AMEX 2 Card. Prior to Aug 2015 revision of the T&C I know that the cashback will be credited on the last day of the calendar month (Jan 31, Apr 30 etc).

But today as I was expecting my CB to be credited on March 31 (which I just realized it did not), so I went to check on the T&C again then I saw this

----------from MaybankAmex CB T&C-------------------------
6. Cash Back that are awarded shall be automatically credited and reflected in the following monthly Card Account Statement.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

So if your statement date is on 12th (current month), and the dining transaction was on the 20th (previous month), when can I expect the CB credited into my account?

Thank you guys

cb always always last day of the month. simple as that.

now, cb on 31 March, so you would see the cb in your 12 April statement lo. in m2u, you can see the cb amount tomorrow or the day after.

if your statement date before cb date (e.g. 28 March), means it will be reflected in next statement (e.g. 28 April) as well. basically, it gets "longer" to "enjoy" the cb  biggrin.gif

regardless of before or after cb date, it will be reflected (shown) in next statement.

That seems to be the issue here as I don't see any cashback credited on March 31

Lazada has a clear return policy. I once got a faulty camera from them. Initiated the return via their website, they sent a new one to me after I sent the faulty one. For Superbuy, there was once I got a tablet with a malfunctioning screen, they told me to claim warranty.  dry.gif  Lelong and 11street I believe if you have any issues, they will ask you to deal with the sellers directly.

Personally for Lazada having the best return policy, they even cover the return cost. You can simply handover your item to any postlaju and poslaju will just accept it as it has already been pre-paid

WHile 11st return policy has no benefit to the buyer.

This revision on treatpoint is so confusing. So means those with gold m2c wont have 5x treatpoints when pump petrol with amex?

Yes. Petrol, Insurance, Education, Utilities will earn only 1X. Gov no point.
Others still 5X
*
just read it...i hardly use this card for petrol since I use Petronas card. If they revised the 8x for weekend for the petronas then I have no more reason to keep all cards from maybank. Probably just 1 card for emergency purpose

If u like petronas, you can try to apply CIMB Petronas card, 3% if spend under 3k and 7% if spend above 3k, capped at RM50

Or if you dont mine only fill Fri or Sat, then can also apply MBB Ikhwan, 5%
*
I am using both interchangeably due to statement date to extend interest free period. As of now Petronas 8x = 2% cashback it is quite fast to accumulate points to redeem RM50 Petronas card for 20k points

Adding 5x point from AMEX it assist to make it even faster.

So if AMEX other transaction remains 5x then I'll stick to it coz removing petrol for 5x will not impact me at all actually.

so is still wise to pay unifi bills via AMEX rather than other Cash Back cards like CIMB CR / UOB VOX?
*
after this no more since stated in the new updates utilities only 1x, I already stop paying with amex, tnb using posonline to get 5% CB, while maxis/celcom 2% CB from CIMB cashback card

Seems many read it wrong...

http://www.maybank2u.com.my/WebBank/CVP-PlatCard.pdf

basically the √ is means impacted....

from the read, all Amex cards under MBB is revised for TP...
EPP, Utilities, Petrol, Education, Insurance, all down to 1x TP conversion...no more 5x or 2x before this...
you see "x" on other card here is because those cards are already at 1x TP conversion...
The one that affecting all cards is the Gov dept spending, all 0 TP...

so its a major cutdown on TP for MBB Amex...

thinking of change or scrap it...

From the current prduct info taken from the website

"5x TreatsPoints for all spend on your Maybank2 American Express Card in Malaysia or anywhere else in the world except Government Bodies, Education Institutions and Insurance Provider."

So my understanding would be all other spending - groceries, online purchase, any other swipe will still entitled 5x. If that is the case like I said, have no impact to me. AMEX 2card still good then.

You mean non maybank card?
*
QUOTE(victorywp @ Apr 2 2016, 09:52 AM)
yes, any of those cards is better.
*
The remaining 1x point equivalent to 0.25% CB. So having other cards that have 0.3% above probably slightly better. Keep the card for promo especially those related to EPP

i had the same thought as victorywp's. use cards that gives others/retail cashback.  biggrin.gif

so far, i know UOB VOX gives 0.3% and HLB Mach gives 0.2%.

I have been trying to get my hands on the you:nique card, 0.5%

You are not WISE enough for groceries? laugh.gif

How long have you been using this wise card? How easy to get yearly waiver after the first year? It is to me really tedious thing to do to cancel your card after a year and changing your routine again

You'll be seeing tomorrow (most of the time on 2nd of every month).

Thanks, I can see it today. When I last got my cb back in aug, I still remember seeing the CB on the 1st of the month. That was why I was quite surprised yesterday
