QUOTE(ykk3 @ Mar 14 2016, 03:12 PM) @alexwsk regarding my question in previous post, the staff there provide me the wrong information and they even called me up to pay the stamp duty fee a few days later. If it wasn't for the cc, I won't lock my money into the promotional fd. I lost rm10 stamp duty fee, 2 weeks interest for my money and not to mention the petrol and time I wasted. Honestly, if you pledge FD, you can get the card the next day. Staffs over the counters are well known to be "Blur". Always follow up, esp when you are using cold hard cash to get the CC. If I were you, I'd screw them up upside down until their manager comes out and rectify the situation.

Thou Amex don't have paywave, so Mach would be preferred in this instance Time to cut my Amex from MBB. Don't have space for another decoration card :/

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 14 2016, 12:06 PM) Yes please, to avoid any problems in overseas. Just call and inform. Funny thing is, I recently flew to BKK and spent almost 10k on my MBB card and yet it was not blocked despite the fact that I did not inform them I was travelling I was told by a friend who was heading to Korea last week that he was told the same thing. All cards are now enabled to be used overseas without the need to call in to inform.

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Jul 14 2016, 01:03 PM) Actually, one may still use the card overseas. Calling the bank to inform is a preemptive measure, just in case, it was somehow blocked. However, on one occasion with CIMB, my card was still being blocked despite making the call. We still advise cardholders to practice this. Correct. But honestly speaking, since I did not inform them I am not in Malaysia, I assumed that the card would be blocked after the 1st swipe

QUOTE(ahhon83 @ Jul 15 2016, 10:26 AM) yes, you got to wait, i just called. i purchased some furniture from MF3 and during the fair, it was stated 0% installment. Now i call may bank, they said they will charge 9% installment, fxxx..... if i do balance tranfer to other bank, how much is the % charges? never do it before, anyone can advise? 0% installment if you swipe on the spot. Usually they will slap some ridiculous surcharge to discourage u from doing so. As for BT, Citibank 3 months 0% / Aeon 6 months 0% / PBB 6 months 0% are the only ones I am aware of. BSN may have a pretty decent BT offer but their cards are damn rare to comeby. This post has been edited by chiahau: Jul 15 2016, 01:21 PM

Disclaimer : This case works for me but not sure it works for all.
I made a complaint via FB recently about how a transaction was wrongly recognized.
Got a callback around 7.45 am and 8.00 am the next day.
They even replied my message around 2am in the morning.
Guess FB is your channel to rage now.

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Aug 9 2016, 05:25 PM) I am not sure if you notice or not. Lately, they just solve the case and that's it...no apology from MBB side for their mistake. Mine is for non-compliance of CB too for a clear cut situation. Imagine how much CB they can save when some customers do not realize and/or did not do anything. Forget apologies. Even UOB made a big mess out of simple things also no apology. MBB got some nice staffs still la, quite polite and apologetic when I explain to them the error. I now go thru my statements with a fine tooth comb. Any mistake, just call and make a fuss. If not, we are getting undercut for what we are paying for
