notice that RHB Islamic Bond's fund size double up in 6 months time to > RM100million. That causes the cash holding of the fund increased to 52%, performance also dropping. Perhaps the fund manager should temporary freeze the new subscription until the 52% cash holding converted to bond investment ?

Short term, all regions, stocks or bonds, all bearish.
Gold is the save (safer) haven now. But gold is for short term trading only.

Yes, silver is outperforming gold. But are you going to buy physical silver? Is there a UT for silver? In US we can buy silver ETF.

The Maju expressway bond shd be the new addition.
But they now don't disclose the credit rating of the bonds

Thanks for the input.
Maju express should be safe, many users nowadays travel from Putrajaya/cyberjaya to kL, both trips.

Try RHB Islamic Bond Fund or RHB Bond Fund. Consistent return for the last 10 years

If u can spare the trouble to bank in cheque means that u physically went to SCB.

Why not terus go your bank and do RENTAS transfer? doh.gif

RM14.00 RENTAS fee vs the savings from 0.57% promo...I'm sure u can do the math, with your substantial investment sum rclxs0.gif
*
Rentas need to verify thumb print on the spot, bank in cheque could be done by 3rd party.

i actually did it daily over the few days as I was on leave and so, took the effort
to analyse my portfolio. Trimmed and top up too...

Finished with FSM project.. now is back to work. Will not be looking at FSM till the next promo.

My investments are on monthly ... only when there is promo i take a look to top up.
*
Good strategy, some said we should not buy when FSM on sales but when market on sales.
But the key is we could not time the market nor having a crystal ball to do that. If you take advantage of the 0.57%, you already made (or save/ secured) 1.43% profit when you purchase or invest.

it was after you posted on rushing to make the deadline that makes me provided the kind reminder. Because it seems to me you lump sum because of this discount. feels like nobody said anything about topping up when it was down and under, and everybody decided to top up due to the sales, and IMO market rallied, and should have top up earlier. though again we are not to time the market.

it is exactly because we can't time the market, we should be more objective during FSM sales.  i'm not saying don't top up. don't regret if things go south.

FSM sales, yes, i'll take an extra look, but if i don't think it's time to invest/regular top up, then i don't lo. smile.gif
*
Time to top up is subjective among investors, and also the choice of funds. Some funds may see its low and some are not. Everyone makes their own judgement differently based on the risk tolerance and financial conditions.

the frequent contributors in this thread always mention how much they top up on that particular days. Especially those using averaging strategy, top up every month after pay days. Be it sunny days or rainy days.
