Recently, Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has announced that they will be scrapping off the 30% foreign exposure cap for funds. We believe that the recent liberalization is a key milestone for EPF, as the institutional fund seems to take a step forward in allowing investors to have more flexibility and empowerment in managing their own retirement monies. In terms of investments, EPF members can only utilize their EPF savings to invest in unit trusts at this juncture. For now, the range of eligible unit trusts has been expanded, going forward, perhaps we may see EPF expand the investment instruments that EPF members can invest in, providing members with more options to invest their EPF savings, such as shares, bonds as well as ETFs, much like the CPF Investment Scheme that we have seen in Singapore

Friend Prince_mk,

In a recent investment talk I attended, the speaker assigned a neutral rating to Malaysia. When an analyst / fund manager gives a neutral rating, it means it can go either way.

So, my question to you friend Prince_mk, do you feel lucky? Do you?

Ooo... meaning stop topping up ESISC and look at other funds.

Thanks Bro Xuzen smile.gif you are Great.

I think he meant if you are feeling lucky, pump more into ESISC. If you are not feeling lucky, leave it. Don't pump/sell. Divert the pump into other funds??? hmm.gif  hmm.gif
*
Yes. I mean diverting to other funds. Furthermore I had too much in these 2 funds. Thanks Ramjade

I cannot answer for you, but I can answer for me.

ESISC has been on the uptrend since Qtr3Yr2015. Those who DCA or lump sum since then would have gained around 20 ++ % or so from it.

But since Qtr2 Yr 2016, I notice that the risk - adjusted return worsen. Hence I have been reducing it by DCA since then.

From a high of 40% holding I now hold around 25% and will target to 20% exposure.

Currently my good advisor, that is, Algozen™ is bullish on Asia-Pac specifically North Asia (HK & China) and advocate India.

It's ok, I don't need the free lunch, the credit ninja was not even my original idea, just improvising from what others discovered.
When you get a bit older, hopefully you will realise that sometimes it's good to lose a bit, or let ppl earn a bit. It's all about balance and sustainability. FSM is a great platform, and an alternative avenue, if we don't let them earn some money, they chaplap then we have to go back to banks and agents which cost even more and give you less sweat.gif

And if there isn't people who's willing to give, then this thread would not be lively with ppl sharing predictions, nice charts, ninja tricks, what not to do in investment etc, or explaining difference between dividends and distribution for the 1000th times

I sound like grandma liao  doh.gif
Ppl need time to get away from the capital guaranteed more than FD mindset la.... some ppl sampai 50 years old still cannot get over
*
I agreed with you.

Where got free lunch in this world?

FSM platform is d cheapest in Msia.

This one simple, just use 100 less current age = percentage to hold in equity UTF.

For example if auntie is 45 years old, then 100 less 45 = 55% to hold in equity UTF, 45% in fixed income UTF.

Xuzen

Good idea to do allocation in equity utf.
