Getting Started

QUOTE(T231H @ Jun 17 2016, 09:34 AM) some people want "counter balance" in their asset...just in case 1 asset drops the other will try to pull it up. thus this reduces the portfolio volatility...just like some people have bond & Equities UTs in their portfolio the growth rate on returns is not what they seek..they wanted to have less volatility in the returns Thanks bro. Appreciate the time and effort

QUOTE(xuzen @ Jun 17 2016, 08:13 PM) How much you need to pay for this switch (in percentage wise)? Xuzen Rm0 courtesy of Vanguard 2015. Have to use the long route for rhb funds though - eqt fund to rhb money market fund to cash management fund then back to whatever fund you want to buy. That would not cost the rm25 switching

Evaluate yourself after reading this: http://www.thestar.com.my/business/busines...t-fed-decision/http://finance.yahoo.com/news/3-reasons-wh...-114054797.htmlIMHO, the impact to this fund is relatively low. QUOTE(nightzstar @ Jun 18 2016, 08:47 AM) What is your opinion on brexit impact on the fund? article shared from FSM CIS » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Dear Valued Investor, Good day to you. If you noticed the recent hot topic in the market is no other than Brexit ( Britain Exit ), the news, polls result is all over the newspaper, online financial website. With the voting is approaching soon ( 23 June 2016 ), Fundsupermart research team has published a new article discussing the Brexit, I have summarized the article for your easy reference. Alternatively, please click this LINK for the full article. Economic Implication · Eurozone accounts for 41% of all UK exports with the larger EU accounting for 46%. A departure from the EU is likely to deal a rather hefty blow to the UK's exports as trade tariffs will rise in the wake of a Brexit result. · A potential reduction of investments in the UK as its access to the EU would be uncertain. · A potential rise in unemployment as foreign corporates uproot themselves from the UK to seek direct EU access. · The anticipated depreciation of the British Pound (GBP) following a Brexit will also lead to higher levels of inflation Investment Implication BREXIT Outcome · It is difficult to tell if Brexit will materialize or not, it is advise that investor to expect certain level of volatility. · A sell-off in UK equities is possible when Brexit is to happen, affecting bond performance as investors demanding an additional risk premium to hold UK-related assets. · Equities that focused on domestic market may as well as those exposed to European Union are likely to be impacted. · Internationally exposed stocks may benefit from the anticipated weaker GBP. BREMAIN Outcome · Investors could expect the GBP to rise against many other currencies. · UK equities and corporate bonds are likely to benefit from positive price appreciation. While the risk of a Brexit poses some short term risks (volatility) and a potential repricing to European equities, we believe that UK equities are at greater risk than Eurozone equities at large. We retain our 2.5 Star - Neutral rating on the region and caution investors to brace themselves for volatility for either result.

Beneficiary account can use the principal holder bank account to make purchases My sis "makes" more % with her flexi-mortgage than cash mgt account, thus tough

QUOTE(dasecret @ May 20 2016, 02:15 PM) Why is sales charge promo more important than where the market is? Take Malaysia market for example In the past 1 month it fell from 1,720 to 1,635 today. That's 4.9%. isn't that a much bigger discount than sales charge discount from 2% to 0.5% (lowest in FSM MY history)? Why not buy now? If FSM offers 0.5% sales charge when the KLCI is back to 1,720. Worth it or not compared to now? My 2 cents la QUOTE(David83 @ Jun 16 2016, 10:19 PM) Who cares for the theme as long as the fund interested is under the discounted SC rate. Obviously my comments have fallen on deaf ears ...
