I use socks5 proxy and be able to connect to WoW with average 1.5k to 5k latency. depends on which area. area with a lot of mobs give nearly up to 3 to 5k latency, if you stay in small town the average latency is around 1.5k. the connection is stable and no dc. BETTER THAN NTG!at least can do some leveling and quest...

search for sockscap software in google, download it and find some free socks 5 proxy, wish you all luck.

Its not worth doing it.

I did proxies, sockscap and tunneling thru other servers. But the lag is still there.

Not worth it at all

Spend more time with your wife.. go out for candlelight dinner and DONT talk about raiding!

Yeh maenz, take some time off WoW. You could get your account stolen btw in the process. you're sending information to your proxy and to the us wow server.

I've tried using numerous proxy programs to log into WoW today and the lag is just not worth it imo. Getting in the region of 2k lat when I'm running around in Scarlet Monastery and a horrific 6k+ in LagForge.

I'm just guessing here but could be 7.5M subscribers really got WOW just to use the in-game mail to keep in touch with their friends.

It has its critics as well - can't please everybody all the time. If you have to ask, it is likely you belong to the latter camp, but all good. Some people like durian, some people like mango.

and some WoW friends have turned RL friends for me when they came to Msia. Sometimes it's easier to connect to people when there's a buffer in between.
