Good day guys! I'm new to the world of audiophile. I just got myself an HD598 recently with a very good price. I'm using the Audioengine D1 to drive these headphones. However, I do feel like its kind of lacking something in the treble. Will these improve over time? Is there any good budget amps recommended at the price around RM500-1000?

Thanks in advance!

Mungkin boleh bawa HD598 kesayangan anda ke kedai-kedai audio berdekatan thumbsup.gif

Anyway, as far as I remembered, HD598 is not a particularly bright headphone to begin with. The lack of treble? Are you hearing the same song but differently on different setup?

What the heck? The classy name is just a foamy eartip jammed into the cylinder.

This is genius!!

I'd say be careful when choosing the IE800 from non-official retailers as the piracy version of the IE800 is rampant.

Despite being in production for more than a decade, Sennheiser HD650 still holds its ground as one of the best bang for bucks headphones out there. musical n non fatiguing without that ear piercing trebles which r becoming more prominent in high end headphones these days.

also, 650 scales very well with amplification, the better the amp, the better it sounds. currently running it through a clone violectric v200/v800 stack. sounds way better than pairing it with o2/odac (my previous setup).

3rd time owning a hd650. definitely a keeper. i always had buyer's remorse/regret whenever i sold my previous hd650's for higher end headphones like beyer t1 n senn hd800.

yeap. hd800 is imo the best ive ever used for gaming due to that signature soundstage, but hd650 is pretty damn good as well.

Hi all, I had my HD598 for more than a year now. I really enjoy it so far, but I realize a weakness in the headphone, the driver feels slow when listening to fast songs.

Do you think upgrading to HD600/HD650 will improve the fast song problem? I listen to a variety of genres but mainly mainstream pop songs nowadays. I currently have a Centrance DACport LX, I assume I will need to get an amp if I upgrade to HD600/HD650? What do you guys think?

hd600/650 arent the fastest either. if u want fast, i'd say go for hifiman he-400 series. cheap planar magnetic headphones.
