I'd pick Ronaldo. Initially I thought he was overdoing his trickery and making himself look really foolish because he was going nowhere. His game has since matured and he is beginning to play a little more direct now, much like dare I say Ronaldinho? Ronaldo used to be a very selfish player but has since begun to distribute the ball more. His game will continue to mature in the next couple of years with experience and I think he will be a more complete player than Robben.

Ronaldo wins hands down. He practically has no peers right now.
Definitely not in the EPL though I think Kaka and Joaquin are fantastic players as well.

I know which is why I responded with "not in the EPL anyway", meaning I was aware it was a direct comparison between him and Robben, also meaning my vote goes to him.

I can't comment as I've not watched Valencia play this season. Anyway I don't want to go OT.

I don't actually mind threads like this but the problem is you get very few insightful posts. Most fans will let their sentiments cloud their judgement and rightly so, especially if you have a really strong emotional attachment to your club. I just wish that more people would detach themselves from their emotions when replying to a thread such as this, and look at it from an analytical point of view.

He has been in magnificent form this season. Not often a wide player ends up top scorer for his club. At the same time, it's not all that unthinkable given he isn't your traditional winger that hugs the sidelines. He cuts inside pretty often. If it weren't for him, I'd say Fernando Torres would be in with a shout, having netted 27 goals in 36 appearances. He is also the first Liverpool to score 20 goals or more in the league since 1995 - 1996 when Fowler surpassed that mark.

Sorry to digress.
