but how about strategy? the ps2 winning eleven has player stats whether he used left/right foot..speed and everything..how to read in japanese?does the ds version has this also? or is it just like the GBA fifa games?
I don't have the PS2 version of the game, so I don't know how it would play/look like.
Player stats? Yes, they're available in this game (Attack, Defence Balance, Stamina, etc including which foot the player uses).
As for strategy, choosing formations, changing team strategy (e.g. Attack up the middle, Right side attack, Left side attack, etc) as well as the option to load and save formation data are available.
Since I'm playing both Japanese and Euro versions, maybe I'll do a FAQ or something.
As for the player list, I usually use Arsenal and the player list looks okay. No comments bout the other teams though.

its outdated lah the player list .. anybody try the wifi ?
WiFi might be a problem. After some testing earlier this evening, it was found that all three games: Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 (US), Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (Euro) and Winning Eleven DS (Jap)
differ in terms of WFC online play.
Owners of the US version won't be able to play against owners of the Euro and Jap versions (and vice versa). IMHO, this sucks as I was looking forward to playing against European gamers.
Credit and thanks to Reveur for his time and effort in this experiment. I had a WFC match with him (both using the US version) and the experience is similar to that of the Japanese version of the game. Lag was evident and announced itself when the game suffered a slow down for several seconds in the first half. Other than that, it was an OK match.
