my guess as well, but if they manage to get some customers to port back I believe they will be satisfied and I my guess most cust will if they revise to RM68 for 5gb and RM88 for 7gb since most hardcore cust still feel that maxis network is superior than others
*
Well we have a recent survey released....
widest? Celcom i think still reign
fastest? U mobile at times...
i guess on average, u want a player who better at all occasions...it is still the one...
not the widest but wider than many...vs u n digi if u say...
fastest...definitely faster than celcom on avg...
pro n con at points...so its up to them wat kind of plan they wanna look at to balance themselves in the market...
maxis jz went through some internal shake also...so i guess they are more than ready for change...

QUOTE(shockk @ Mar 31 2016, 06:50 PM)
True. To be honest, for Maxis to win back many customers, they just need to release a plan which is like in the range of RM80-RM85 for 5GB with unlimited calls/sms to all networks. After all, based on my personal experience, their line quality, stability, coverage and 4G strength overall is still the best.
I received that exact SMS to confirm the port-out, and I replied Yes. Only after I replied Yes, then I received the 'counter-offer' call.

Your case the same as mine?  hmm.gif
*
no...i haven respond any YES, because i was thinking if they don call by the timer ends...i ll reply yes...and they call before that...lol
so i never send...hmm...let see how then..

You are 1 of the many samples maxis made so far

customers seem to accept RM68 for 5gb (and RM88 for 7gb). The GB probably less, but still unlimited calls/sms and cheaper by RM12.70 (inc GST).

Unless customer still rejecting such offer than maxis might need to offer more. but at this point that seems like good enough.

But do you get free spotify with 5gb RM68? And is it going to be permanent offer or just 2 years? If it is permanent then it is trying to confirm something here

Let us know the outcome bro. My penalty is 1200 but I'm thinking of cutting my losses and walking. I'm paying 128 for 3GB and people are paying close to half of that and getting 5GB. I've lambasted them but they gave me a standard cut and paste answer - I'm not their "selected" customer.

Enough with their lame answers. During my time in 2 years contract I remember they revised their package after 6 months I am with them. Which I was getting more data (1.5gb from initial 500mb) with the same monthly commitment.

So if they revise, cross you fingers (those who are in contract) that the new revised package will effect you guys as well. icon_rolleyes.gif

Otherwise you can report this to FOMCA or any responsible parties

Nevertheless , I just called 123 and the kind CS told me if I can wait , Maxis is going to release new plans and perhaps a complete change of OnePlan BY NEXT WEEK.
So I will wait.
My penalty fees is 950, which is monthly 50 until contract ends (19 months) , 128-50=78 , anything more than this amount didn't bring significant savings for me to be honest

If you ask me personally, I believe Maxis will never make the RM68 plan fully public to all Malaysians. Maxis very well knows that they are the go-to provider (to most people's eyes) IF the price is good.

Just imagine if the RM68 was announced and made fully available to all, I'm not sure if Maxis servers and base towers can handle the sudden influx of port-in users from Celcom, U-Mobile, DiGi, etc. Because trust me, that WILL definitely happen since Maxis's brand seems to be the 'best' among telcos now in Malaysia.  brows.gif

P/S: I did not do anything special on my Celcom port-out request. I already have a line which is on First Gold 80 (Celcom). I just told the nice BlueCube staff that I want to port-in a line from Maxis to add as another principal line into my Celcom account. No questions asked.  thumbup.gif

When i try to port out, they offer me samething also ... than i call 123 to clarify, i ask Maxis CS: is this offer legit ? CS reply : are you request port out maxis recently ? answer: Yes, than she reply: yah we do offer this package to our loyal customer .....

I have 4 more line, is about time to port out smile.gif

Made complaint to SKMM and CFM. Managed to get RM88 for 7GB + 1GB with free spotify premium. However, my plan was RM158 with iphone plan. Thus need to pay penalty of RM950. The only thing I felt cheated and not arguable is my previous plan was RM158 and now my plan stated clearly RM188. So basically its an upgrade, why should I pay for the penalty? To Maxis, it is an offer for monthly rebate after I lodged complaint in skmm & cfm about unfair practice on all the plans. The contract did not state if an upgrade with offer which requires me to pay penalty. If my area not cos of Maxis line is better, definitely already port the fack out from them.

On another note, my gf did not get the same package but she use Maxis since 2000 and prompt payment. Instead of RM68 for 5gb or RM88 for 7gb. She got 98 for 6gb and RM118 for 7gb.

Straight port out to digi. Sometimes we have to be smart consumer not to be con by all these shits. If in a same area, maxis & digi or even celcom line is acceptable. I think not necessary to take maxis. Especially this is how they treat customer.

And Many say "I would back to Maxis if they offer something similiar or lower" few weeks back but now I think majority customer are so frustrated on how they treat their long time customers.
