I'm super lazy to copy the html and put it in dedicated lowyat bbcode already. I just link everything for future review and guides.

I used the lazy method by mixing hydrogen peroxide with water in a tupperware and it under the sun, the result is mediocre

Quite a number forumers have Topre keyboards here.

There is a cheap variant from Coolermaster.

I have been using Realforce Topre keyboard at work for more than 5 years.
*
Cooler Master Novatouch TKL is EOL as well. Well, can't say it's cheap, because the pricing is competitive during RF and HHKB time.
But, the currency now made it like cheap only.
Among dozen (30g, all 45g, variable, 55g, silence 45g, hhkb, type-s, hhkb 55g modded, type-s 55g, rf23, rf23 55g modded, novatouch) of Topre boards I tried. Novatouch got the best of the two worlds (typing + layout).

Wow already EOL, didn't know that.

I am curious how long my Topre Realforce will last since it has been 5 years and I used it almost 5 days per week from 9 am to 6-7pm.
*
Can last more than 10 years.. Anything rosak, just replace it. switch, spring, pcb, domes, keycaps.
As simple as that. The casing of RF is extraordinary, can disassemble without screw. smile.gif

That's how topre mkb user can enjoy oneness of cup rubber.

Cool, thanks. Could you also show me where I can get the parts from?

That would be helpful.
*
Harvest directly from new boards or buy from those ppl harvested their boards.

Topre do not sell spare parts.

Well, master race always for minority. rclxms.gif
Public think those fetch more than RM 500 for a keyboard must be insane. mega_shok.gif

Isnt ds 5 also rgb?

Not sure bout ds products..nver heard of em as much as razer steelseries corsair

And the price is also quite similar..

I probably made my decision already
I want razer blckwidow chroma te version
But not sure wanted razer blckwidow chroma x te or the old bclwidow chroma te.

Is there a big difference between x and old beside the design and usb cable can pull out on old version..
*
Razer, SS, and Corsair did a great job in marketing for their peripherals. Well, we all did blinded by those marketing and do not know other random brands.

But, in mechanical keyboard community, Ducky is well-known brand. Very well known because of the leading innovation and quality they provided.
Ducky is top 3 brands for mechanical keyboard that using Cherry MX switches.

Well, in case that you need quality board, and typing experience. You can go for Ducky keyboards.
If not, you can always go for Corsair and Razer (innovated in gaming series).

You can visit my review page as well if you like rgb. To expose you that, lots of brands in mkb.
https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=3962829

Note: My first mechanical keyboard is Ducky Shine 2

good for anything?
*
Their direction is going for standard layout.
Will release more flag ship boards as well;
MasterKeys Pro L (Full Size, already released), MasterKeys Pro S (80% without tenkey, but with arrow clusters), MasterKeys Pro M (80% without arrow clusters, but with tenkey)

Ooo.. I wonder why Novatouch already EOL.

Market introduction very weak, most of people don't even know this model. Sales slow, retailer don't even know how to sell this enthusiast class keyboard as well. Last 2 years, when we do not have GST, the price of branded mkb of Filco / Ducky are RM 3xx to RM 4xx. Novatouch retail price at RM 699. sad.gif
And most ppl don't know, I'm also one of enthusiast contacted and reviewed Novatouch TKL. laugh.gif

Few days back, I developed a web page for the novatouch TKL typing. Check it out, just a sharing.

When I first started out with MKB, I too asked why the Novatouch was so expensive compared to other Cherry switched ones. I have since learnt to appreciate it. Alas, still unwilling to part with that kind of money for one, unless a backlit version is available.

Anyone interested, I found this on Lelong
*
For the pricing, I believed it's dead stock and want to let go as fast as possible. smile.gif

Backlit definitely interesting. thumbup.gif

Personally, I don't find backlit useful for long hours typist like me, because it strains my eyes. Haha

So the only choice left to me is a blind purchase. I've only tried hhkb and realforce, afaik from the articles and comments I read online, there's quite a difference between these two and the novatouch, I hope the difference wouldn't be that big.
*
I have consulted Cooler Master PR, and they said they do not know the store selling in the lelong. sad.gif
If need any help, you can pm me.

So there's no guarantee of getting the product when purchasing from that store in lelong?

Not that, but, the warranty may be not recognized by CM or distro.
And CM strictly request their retailer selling at SRP. laugh.gif
Well, other principal did request that too.
