hi can anyone here suggest me a good 75%/82 key keyboard?

space is very limited on my table D:

82 key would be like the KBT Race 2. You can see it here.

Cooler Master MasterKeys Lite, a really poorman's Topre? More on it here and here. Sells for around Euro60

Can't seems to find Corsair K70 LUX RGB Cherry MX Blue Switch in Penang or online store... Anyone know where got sell?

Does this KB have any problem?

Stocks are still quite limited, if any, in the Malaysian market. You could try to order through UltimateZone. They do shipping too.

Hi guys. So I followed the advice that you guys gave to me and currently own a red and blue switch keyboards. Out of the two, I am preferring the red switch. Although it seems I make a lot more misspellings, I feel more comfortable with the reds.

My new questions is, should I be looking for other switches to try out? Or am I red switch type of guy?
*
Personally, I started with red (linear) and went on to blue before settling in with brown. I like the brown because it is tactile without the clicky-ness. My latest addition to the herd is MX clear. It's similar to the brown albeit "heavier", 60g vs 45g.

And so, it really depends on what you will be most comfortable with.

I always thought that brown was kinda in between red and blue, so the only reason to get brown is because of the noise (or lack of). I'm guessing this is a wrong presumption?

Goto the first post of this thread. It will give you a better idea of the different switches' attributes

hey guys, which one should i choose?

ducky one tkl
or
cm storm quickfire rapid-i
or
cooler master masterkeys pro s

or are there any other keyboards that you recommend?
i'm looking for a TKL, single led, cherry mx blue switch gaming keyboard

having a tough time making decision sweat.gif

thanks! notworthy.gif
*
Ducky One TKL - Blue LED backlit
CM QFR-I - White LED backlit
CM Masterkeys Pro S - RGB LED backlit

On which one to chose, it really is a matter of your personal preference as they are all good keyboards.

Btw, cherry MX blue switch is not very ideal for gaming, at least not for me.

I could have never just determine if I like something by just reading or trying out the switches for a few secs in a shop.
Hmm, I guess I should try out browns next. Gateron red is similar to cherry reds? Topre is sadly too far out of my reach currently. Mx clears are quite rare no?
*
Hahaha....and hence, the racun will run deep. An enthusiast will end up buying more than 1 MKB within a short time (typing this from experience whistling.gif ). Brown or red, either is good to start with.

MX clears are mostly available on custom boards, hard to find them with the regular brands commonly available in the market. I got mine with a Varmilo VA87M directly from Varmilo.

Yup. Got my blue switch relatively fast after my red switch. Lucky i am only targeting used market, so save some money. I guess i should be on the lookout for a brown switch now although i am interested in corsair's rapidfire switch and wooting's offering. Zealios is still a bit far away from me currently. Im also hooked on the tkl layout and dont find any reason yet to change that layout.

agree. missing some doubleclicks. do u dota bro?
what ur take gaming on mx clear?
saw it here.
just kinda steep for me. and already had my gateron blues.
*
Because i have a tendency to bottom out, heavier switch like the MX clear is ideal for me.

I expect when I get a Topre, it will be the heavier 55g

hi, may i know where do you order the varmilo keyboard?

thanks

I corresponded directly via email with Varmilo through their representative named Miya. Unfortunately, Miya has recently left them. Not sure who has since taken over from her but you could try mailto:zhh22@zhihaihe.cn

Nope, mine is VA87M, detachable mini USB cable. For wireless, the model is VB87M, Bluetooth 4.0

Try mailto:zhh22@zhihaihe.cn

FYI, VB87M base prices are USD137 with MX and USD116 with Gateron. Add USD17 for shipping to KL via DHL.

If it is, then I'm afraid that he stopped working at varmilo and thus no online ordering anymore according to a post on geekhack  cry.gif  cry.gif

You could still try and hopefully, someone else has taken over her role.

will custom tax anything for stuffs bought from massdrop?

If the declared value exceeds RM1k, you will run a high risk of having GST imputed.

I'm planning to run a wooden wrist rest group buy.

From softer wood to hardwood; with more wood selections.

- black walnut, ebony, purpleheart, green sandalwood, yellow pear wood, wenge, rosewoods, and few more options.
*
Post of pictures if you are able. Want to see how the wenge will look like

I heard its good for typing, not much tested for gaming. Store.uni has this collaboration for Novatouch TKL, its very tempting but I cant afford Topre atm. Looking forward to next gen Topre with backlighting since its a necessity for me
*
You could look out for Topre clones like the Royal Kludge RC930. Comes in 87-key or 104-key sizes, with RGB too. Choice of 45g and 55g and cherry MX stems. Under RM400 from Taobao.
